Timing is everything Part 3 - Defiant1's purchases for today... We all know about Charlton Comics & John Byrne hopefully. Some of us knew ACG had reprinted some of their stuff. Evidently in 1998 they used the Charlton logo on this title. It was priced $3. i expected to pay $1.50. The manager charged a buck. Still not a great deal... but one book I got WAS a good deal. Doomsday + 1 #1 (ACG, 1998, B&W reprint) Defiant1

But then again, I have the Charlton sickness.

Yeah... I think the later ones are missing the Charlton logo. I had a chance to get some later reprints and opted not to. I seem to recall hearing that ACG was served with a cease and desist order to stop using the Charlton logo, but I'm not sure the details. Q

Q There appears to be no rhyme or reason to which issues they put the Charlton logo on. Issues #4 and #6 also have the Charlton logo, as well.
