 Wikipedia garbage....

While exploring RSS feeds I found one link at CBR which perfectly illustrates why I think the wikipedia is crap.

If you are a John Byrne fan, brace yourself.

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=John_Byrne&oldid=23368999

This must be changing quite frequently...

Currently it says"John Byrne doesen't care about black people." and "Byrne has cited both Rob Liefeld and Erik Larsen as influences on his art style. " A few minutes ago it cited references to John Byrne rubbing Chris Claremont's back. While humorous, it clearly illustrates the lack of integrity that an open and unedited encyclopedia can attract.

Almost 6 months has passed yet the same insults to Byrne still exist unchanged and uncorrected. How pathetic.

Another month or so later, and John Byrne still doesn't care about black people. I'm surprised that ANYONE in their right mind considers Wikipedia a credible source for anything beyond entertainment.

Between you and me, someone should go there and scribble nonsense in as many entries as possible, just to make a point.

Then again, maybe someone is already doing it.

"It was, quite honestly, my impression that it was well known that I was not who I claimed to be, and that in the absence of any confirmation, no respectible (sic) publication would print it,"

This article pretty much confirms that Wkipedia is not a site which should be treated as an authority on anything.

It's quite dangerous to assume otherwise.
