I figured this book from the Fall of 1981 was worth $10.
R. Crumb Checklist (Boatner Norton Press)

It has R. Crumb art scattered throughout. Only a few color pages...

I assume it's the softcover version...
$10 is a good price, probably paid more for mine.

Yes... softcover, the file is named with the ISBN number as part of the name. The hardcover has a different ISBN #.

I've got the Book of Genesis and just finished reading it last week. The art is fantastic. It's a straight adaptation of the Book of Genesis from the Bible, so I'd already read that before. Probably the most tame project Crumb has ever done, although some people are still managing to get in an uproar about it.

I'd guess the prospect of "not leaving anything out" is what motivated him to do it. I admire him for doing it. Big undertaking.

Knowing what kind of work Crumb has done in the past, this seems to go to another extreme for him. Perverted Crumb draws the Bible?!!? And just viewing this one page here, I must say I really like it. Crumb always seems to get as detailed as he wants. He has a full range in his arsenal in my opinion. I'm one that really enjoys his work. And yes, the movie Crumb was great in my opinion. Ive seen it about 4 times now and I love it every time. The story is fascinating, his family is weird and his art is inspiring. A look so deep inside, its disturbing.
