You have to love the tagline on this... "The World's Greatest Junkie Superhero". I think i picked this up for a nickle. Never read it, but I started just now. The art is mediocre at best and isn't quite good enough for me to keep track of who is supposed to be who. The characters mostly look alike. It seems to center around a kid who is visiting New York and meets a punk rock subculture. Tupelo is a guy that they meet in a cab ride to a club. He's zoned out until he's shoots up. Then he's a little more lively. His superpowers expose themselves when they are triggered by a sip of an alcoholic beverage. It's interesting, but the art isn't good enough to keep me interested or involved. That's probably why I didn't try to read it after buying it. I still think it should be worth more than a nickle and it's an interesting concept. Tupelo #1 Defiant1

It's got a fairly cool cover, and the name reminds me of alt-country group Uncle Tupelo, so I like it.

This is under the Amaze Ink imprint... Jet Comics #2 Jet Comics #3 The art is decent. A slight John Byrne feel crossed with maybe better Frank Robbins art from the Golden age... not his 70's stuff. #3 is the last issue according to the letters page. Defiant1
