I'm trying to remember about that ray gun... I think it was a stock photo, but I'll have to ask Joe. He might remember. I used a ray similar to that or maybe the same one on an old business card. One funny thing... In issue 5 of the Fatale books I photographed a white beaded evening bag with stuff spilling out of it and I found that bag the other day. I still have the little phone book, and the onyx & silver earrings, too. Possibly even one of the lipsticks. lol. Too bad I didn't get a better photo. I thought it was pretty cool that I realized I still had the knife to put together with that hardcover auction. I had put it with a bunch of stuff for a yard sale, but it's fun to have the knife with the book it's printed in, I think. I found a limited edition signed hardcover book this weekend. I just put that on ebay, too. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170743482623#ht_3892wt_1398

The Broadway Comics section here has always suffered for lack of participation. I can look at the search engine results that bring people here and Broadway doesn't get it's fair share of traffic. I have an unsigned version which I bought from you before the prices started getting up there. This is definitely one of the items that Broadway collectors want. I've pretty much retired as a collector, so I'm just sitting back and watching the results. I also don't have a paypal account or use a credit card online to even get one. Good Luck! Thanks for stopping by. Defiant1

Thanks! Yes, I think we did some good work at Broadway. We certainly had a nice amount of time to develop the concepts... we had 11 properties we came up with. But then we had very little publishing time before BV sold us. I still don't really understand what happened.
But it was such a tumultuous time in our lives. That's the kind of weird thing. I recently found a stack of papers from Broadway. I'll look through them and post anything that might be of interest.

Bob screwed up Valiant. DEFIANT was spread too thin in too many directions. Broadway stories seemed more grounded and tight. Defiant1

I was at the shop yesterday and noticed they had a gold plated RayGun replica in the showcase so I took a pic: Pricey but cool...

I have one of the very first Light Saber replicas. It doesn't light up or anything, but it was priced pretty high in the store. I think it retailed for $200, and I paid much less... maybe half that. It was less than the cost the store paid. I picked it up and a Silver Surfer Statue that is coated in real silver when a store was going out of business.

Is JayJay selling those or did someone copy her description? I'm not looking for any Defiant or Broadway collectibles. People assume I'm hoarding the stuff, but I'd be perfectly content to sell all my duplicates if I got a reasonable price. Defiant1

Defiant1 Seems like it was cut and pasted with the numbered "211/250" in each of the auctions. 2 more signed copies were sold the week before too from the same seller.
