I'm not sure how many people saw the movie Hancock. We've discussed this before, but now I'm posting a scan of the publication that came out to support the movie. I liked the movie because it reminded me of the Shadow State storyline with a nice skewered vehicle that had already been done in Powers that be. I'm hoping they do a sequel to this movie. Defiant1

Excuse me for being ignorant, but what is the Broadway connection here?

Excuse me for being ignorant, but what is the Broadway connection here? Have you read them? Hancock was written in 1996. Broadway published their comics in 1995 and 1996. Powers That Be starts with a car skewered atop the Chrysler building. Hancock starts with an SUV being skewered atop a building. Shadow State feature a male character that goes to jail. Hancock goes to jail. The dysfunctional relationship between the male and the female has the same foundation in both Hancock and the Shadow State storyline. Broadway was creating concepts with the intention of making films much in the same way SNL cast members are groomed to be stars of films. I believe that Hancock was based upon Broadway Comics. I have no proof, but there are too many similarities whether it was intentional or not. Another irony is that the writer for the storyline for Hancock has the same Asian last name as the artist who drew the Image parody stories in Shadow State. That could be a coincidence, but it's still another odd connection to have. Defiant1

Wow, that's true! I didn't notice that till now. They definitely swiped that image from the comics. (skip to the last 5 seconds) Can somebody let Shooter do a Plasm movie now so he can make 600 mil too...

I think the movie which would make Shooter 600 million would be Dark Dominion. They could market it off Ditko's name. Everyone knows Spiderman. He co-created both. The Dark Dominion realm would be a great video game, especially phasing back and forth. The creatures could spawn a wide variety of toys. $$$$$ just waiting to be exploited.

I was looking for something that showed Hancock's relationship with the Charlize Theron's character...

Defiant1 "Dark Dominion" is another good one too. Movie special effects are advanced enough to make it happen now. Maybe with all the interest in "Ghostbusters" again, it would help bring this back somehow. I still want to see a printed comic version of the DD #0 issue. This is weird... Defiant1 Yea, that segment was rough. It might play better if Will Smith's and Charlize's laughing were replaced with a Gilbert Gottfried laughtrack: More Gilbert bits here: howardsternbits.com/tag/Gilbert%20Gottfried/Gilbert in "Hancock 2" would be good too.

Wow, I never seen the movie, but that is indeed a swipe from the comics.
