Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself (I've chatted with the Mod many moons ago as a fan of the Fatale and Star Seed books and of JG Jones' work on the Fatale title. I'm enjoying checking out the Fatale threads in particular because there are images there I'm not familiar with so that's a real treat! It was also a treat to see a colour version of the Fatale stand-up design artwork. Most of you will probably have seen my collection of Fatale original art by JG Jones but I've provided a few pics just in case Best, Royd www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=111

I did indeed sight the Dave Cockrum pages during an earlier search at CAF and thought they were a wonderful addition to your collection! I also checked out the threads you referred to and, yes, it was very cool to see the unpublished work from Fatale #7! The scans from Fatale #0 were from me (many moons ago) when JG Jones sent me a stack of copies and other bits 'n pieces along with the originals I purchased from him at that time. There were original replacement panel sections, promo material, copies of pages from Fatale #0, copies of jacket designs and other bits which I still have. JG included a colour copy of the Newsletter Ad piece which was mounted on foam core board and had holes in it along with a post-it-note from JG saying "Royd, Pardon the holes, this was next to my dart board while I was practicing my 25ft. throws. JG" - haha! Best, Royd

Although J.G. Jones was nice when I met him in Atlanta, he gave me some promises along with an email address to contact him. He never replied to my email after saying he would. I really do not seek out originals on anything he draws anymore. I was willing to buy his Defiant art in bulk, but he posted it online instead and let people pick over it. I was really interested in unpublished art to bring it unseparated to the Defiant fans so they could see what direction the books were going. Defiant and Broadway both ended abruptly and it was not really fair to the fans who bought the books thinking they'd get a resolution to everything they'd read.
I do own the inked pages from fatale #0 in that thread. I believe Charles Yoakum inked that and I need to remember it when I rescan the and post them on comicartfans.com
I did like Fatale, but I think Starseed was poised to be my favorite comics series ever written.

I ran across this Fatale pinup art. Not sure if it was ever used...

Interesting. Has Alan Caldwell gone on to do anything else?
