That'd work, but I don't want the Dark Horse name on it. Ditto to the both of you!!!

I've been speed skimming through the blog too much and missing some stuff. I gotta give it a re-read. I see some Ditko/Defiant talk coming up.

I've been working 12 & 13 hour days on top of the cross town commute. I have not read everything in a timely fashion. Starting now, I'm on vacation until the 28th. I only work 12½ more days this year!!!! Defiant1

While I don't have it nearly as good as you, I don't have any 5 day work weeks left for the rest of the year. I'm sure it's going to be January before I know it.

I save my vacation all year. Partially, so I can avoid holiday traffic in Atlanta. In the past, my coworkers were doing the same and it was also the slowest time for my high demand services. It was an was an easy decision to defend. In the past few years, the volume of work has actually escalated in the non-holiday weeks. Christmas week is so slow they shut down the plant entirely, but we have to save vacation (PTO) days to get paid a full check that week or go without a full paycheck. This year is pretty odd. Were coming off of a transition year that was projected to have slow volume. We let go of all the repetitive jobs that were low profit but steady. We have a lot more profitable jobs that fluctuate on a shorter cycle. The upswing in business started in November. Me and the guy I've finally gotten fully trained and barely able to keep up. Plus, they've implemented a new module in the SAP software we use. It's a huge inefficiency that slows everything down. The system is amazing in the extent of what it can do, but it's so customizable that no one can debug conflicts adequately when it's setup wrong or inefficiently. The system itself is like working in quicksand. I am constantly looking for ways to shave off one or two keystrokes or mouse clicks to accomplish the same tasks. I consistently find them, but the occurrences are spaced further now. My point is that I can't keep up, I've been working shitloads of overtime. I've been worried that management would deny my vacation. I've been doing this for 17 years. The only difference is that I have more vacation days than most people now. Just got a $400 bonus last week. Nobody knows what it was for. My supervisor gave me an "Occasionally Exceeds Expectations" on my review. I was shocked because the criteria to get that got MUCH stricter. We saw the percentages for the plant and very few people got that. Almost everyone else besides me and the guy I train got "meets expectations". I'll miss an ISO audit just before Thanksgiving. I think the guy I've trained will be able to handle it. Normally, they are a breeze for me and I bore the auditor by answering the questions he's going to ask before he asks them.

I plug in vacation days between the 2 days each I get off at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. The attendance policy is pretty oppressive. Some people waste 4 hours here and there throughout the year because they are 15 minutes late. We have to take at least 4hr increments. This week I'll see how much my recent raise will affect my paycheck. Defiant1

I had Doyg Sulipa check his wrestling magazine stock from 1996. He never located the issues that featured the strip. Defiant1

My bet is that it's one (possibly two) of these: June 1996 July 1996 August 1996 September 1996 October 1996 If I was going to gamble, I'd try September first. Defiant1

Jim has posted the Miracle on Broadways Comic scans. The mystery has now been revealed.

Cool blog posts in the last few days. All of Miracle on Broadway and coverage on the custom comics. Looking forward to the next "Seven" post. I hope they load issue #2. About those WWF magazines, I noticed there was a WWF: RAW quarterly magazine for 1996 too. Been trying to find online scans.

Would be nice if the Illustrated Media site offered an online store to buy some of those books. Even the last Dark Horse fare. I picked up a set of "Specwar" for the fun of it. It was fun military adventure comic. I was surprised at the amount of misspelled typos in the comics. And I didn't really see Shooter's name credited inside the books. Wish they could make Seven issue 2 available to the public. I heard that was doublesized. I have found zero scans on the WWF mags. I thought with the large wrestling fan base community, they'd be posted online already. At least the 95/96 years.

I knew about it several years ago. Shooter mentioned it because Joseph Lauria (sp?) released it I'm pretty sure he'd already ceased publishing comics before he partnered with Jim. Not surprised on the wrestling mag unless you could find a scan on eBay. One of the reasons my checklists get so many hits is that some scans are still very tough to locate online. Seven (or "Semen" as someone said on the blog) had a doublesized 2nd issue? Wow! That's annoying! Maybe there were only test printings? Defiant1

Defiant1 Monster sized coverage on Seven today: www.jimshooter.com/2012/02/seven-kabbalah-kustom-komic.htmlCool press kit folder. And a mention that the preview purple issue was an ashcan. *want* From this old blog post, Gene Gonzales mentioned he drew 28 pages for issue #2: genegonzales.blogspot.com/2008/01/even-more-sketches.htmlI counted the first issue and there are 24 comic pages.

Jim's blog appears to have bitten the dust. A December post from last year got reposted in May. The comments are blocked on the recent posts due to the trolls. I guess I'm going to quit following it. Too many idiots left buying comics and no matter where you go, one always finds a way to show up. .

When Janet disabled comments on Jim's blog, I decided to stop following it. I went ahead and quit "listing" any comic creators on Twitter also. Other than people I Know personally on Twitter, I'm tired of reading the Twitter feeds of the comic creators.

I noticed it now. I would click everyday to see if there's a new update. Think he would be better off running his blog as a board forum? Or a forum on the Illustrated Media site. I know the random anonymous troll posts are irritating to read.

I know the random anonymous troll posts are irritating to read. Janet seems good at designing sites (artistically), but she doesn't seem inclined to run a site and maintain it. She was getting her feet wet at Dark Key, but the line was dying from the start and any wen site needs updates regularly or Google doesn't take it seriously. I was keeping up with things Josh and Neal Adams posted, but I dropped them too. Defiant1

Guess who this depicts.. This little backstory should explain why Jim Shooter was in Atlanta and as a likely sidestep... Tucker GA. atlantafantasyfair.blogspot.com/I seem to recall that the Atlanta Fantasy Fair logo was designed by Steranko. This show was hosted by Lamar Waldron whom I met by accident a year or two ago. I ran into Bob Burden and was talking to him when Lamar showed up. Defiant1
