Per Todd's request, I did do a few Google searches to grab sales statistics from the old newsgroups. Unfortunately, I found some key months missing. Here is a quick link to locate some of the "top 200" lists... LinkDefiant1

I finally figured out how to narrow the search down so I ONLY get the sales posts when Broadway was going (or atleast available to order from) ;D. This should cover the vast majority of the comics ( I still couldn't find a few of the issues: Link And yeah the numbers are depressing . Should've warned you to get good and liquored up before looking at them . I guess it was to be expected when the industry was at it's lowest point, the comics were $3, and Shooter was having to start all over agian with new characters. Atleast Powers That Be #1 out sold the VH #2 stuff. I wonder where that retailer was that they qouted as getting "Marvel numbers" out of Broadway?

I threw that link up just to give people an idea where I got the data. But.... not wanting to be upstaged... because you DID find a few I didn't find... I had to dig harder. I submit this zip file for evaluation..... broadway.port5.com/Top300_1996_97.zipIt has a few your search missed... but I'm still missing some. This data BTW was collected in a pretty accurate manner through interpolation... this guy KNEW the accurate sales data for the Antarctic Press titles. Defiant1

Atleast Powers That Be #1 out sold the VH #2 stuff. I wonder where that retailer was that they qouted as getting "Marvel numbers" out of Broadway? Everything is relative. If one retailer is hyping the company... all he has to do is sell as many as his low Marvel titles to get Marvel numbers. One retailer by himself isn't going to affect anything. I guess what shocks me is that I thought the orders were increasing. It looks like Fatale #6 did increase. I KNOW the aftermarket demand was increasing on Fatale. I guess like Valiant... it was going to take an aftermarket demand coupled with extremely low print runs before everyone who was left really took notice. Now I want to know how rare the "Inherit The Earrth" TPB is. I have 2 or maybe 3 of those and I'm just not interested in selling them... even more so now.

What kind of dollar value would you put on an Inherit the Earth softcover?
I saw one on ebay a couple of months ago with a BIN of $15, couple bucks shipping. I didn't know if it was a good deal although I've not seen one since. It was gone after a couple of days.
Should I have bought that one?

I have 2 already... maybe 3. I value it at $50 because that is the minimum I'd take and even then I have no desire to sell it. I now own the Fatale #0 page(s?) featured in the text article. That makes me want to sell it even less. I think the softcover is missing one of the pages I own. The hardcover is nicer. Defiant1

I went out and bought a few of these today, some Fatales mainly. I know, I know, beginning collector ...
I thought it interesting that the back cover ad was for an Acclaim video game, considering Acclaim's purchase of Valiant Comics around the same time.

I thought it interesting that the back cover ad was for an Acclaim video game, considering Acclaim's purchase of Valiant Comics around the same time. Acclaim was buying ads all through the 90's. Ironic, but probably not a good indicator of their wisdom. It doesn't get discussed much, but one of the reasons comics went to high quality paper was because advertiser will snub their nose at placing their high quality ads on low quality paper. Notice all that slick paper on the VH3 titles. I don't think it's a coincidence. They wanted comics to lure people into buying games. Their ad department probably wanted to place expensive ads throughout the comics rather than format ads for a low quality paper. Broadway Comics have some expensive cover stock on most of their books, but not so amazingly the "Miracle On Broadway" comic doesn't... at least not from what my limited experience can tell. Defiant1
