The art wasn't stunningly great in either Liberal Man or Pete The PO'd Postal Worker, but I like them both... Defiant1

And here are a few more scans. #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 Again, not the greatest art--especially inside--but it always had some fun political jabs. Defiant1

Wasn't sure if I'd started a thread on Pete the PO's Postal Worker. I have quite a few of the comics. Today I see that the publisher had released a Childern's book in the same format as the Goilden Books children books. I bought it. I like it. It's not heavy reading obviously, but I was smiling. The art is colr and looks a tad bit less rushed than the comic so it's a quality improvement. Q

I'm surprised my Postal Worker isn't P.O.'d yet. Almost every day he has to get out of his mail truck and come up to my door to put a package there. To his credit, he always smiles and says "hi" when I go out to fetch it and I always thank him. He even rubber bands the rest of the mail to the package so I don't have to go out to the box. The substitute mailguy isn't anywhere near as nice or polite.

The substitute mailguy isn't anywhere near as nice or polite. A good postal worker is invaluable. For some stupid reason, where I bought my house, they dont allow mail boxes at each home. Instead we have a community mailbox. You know those ones where the entire neighborhood has to go to the same exact spot and each has their own little 4 x 4 x 24 inch box. When someone sends a comic, if there is no protection and made to look just like a big envelop, it can easily be folded or made into a round package to fit inside my mailbox. The apartment I lived at previous to getting my house, this was the case and very often when ordering from ebay, I had comics rolled up to fit inside this 4 x 4 inch spot damaging a few books. I do warn whoever I buy a comic from to pack cardboard and mark "do not bend" on it prominently. At my old apartment, it didnt matter. If they could bend it or cram it, they would. With my house, the postal worker will deliver it to my front door leaving it sitting right below my front door step. Anytime I see the postman, I make it a point to thank them. I dont have the troubles here I had back at my old apartment, but I could just as easily be stuck with comics being crammed in a 4 x 4 inch square hole. So, if you have a good mail person... be grateful for them.

Not actually a comic, but it is a book with cartoon illustrations and a few sequential panels, It's a mildly amusing book and much of it is based upon truth. Nice Guys Don't Get Laid (Sharkbait Press) Defiant1

Nice Guys Don't Get Laid (Sharkbait Press) Defiant1 That looks very worthy of a read. He's so effective in the early portion of the book that I never actually care to read the whole thing. Points brought up early keep repeating and they don't add insight as the book progresses. I like his comments that Charles Manson was receiving love letters in prison, while nice guys were getting stood up and ignored. I thank God that the girl I love saw me pissed off at some people. She knows I do have a spine. She's also very rational for a female, so that helps. Defiant1
