I finished watching it after my last post.
That was awesome!
A bit too much focus on the Amazing Spider-Man comics which are no doubt his biggest claim to fame, just a bit heavy handed in that area. His Dr. Strange stuff was amazing for back in those days. Too bad Mr. A material didn't connect. Couple of awesome pictures shown for that but mainly with small print and overlooked. By time I was getting exposed to Ditko, he was pretty much gone from the mainstream. He's been kinda eccentric ever since.
I have a couple of his latest works from small press black and white stuff in the last 10 years or so. Very loose stuff filled with tons of words overtaking the pictures. Ditko was thinking his own way. I find it funny that other creators thought he did drugs because his work was so out there.

It's interesting that him and Kirby were both tied to morality and principles. Kirby got his inspiration for Galactus from the Bible and Silver Surfer represented the fallen angel. Ditko has heightened sense of principle. Defiant1

I liked the part at the end of the documentary where Ditko gave Neil Gaiman and Ross free comics. ;D

I guess this is maybe the 3rd picture of Steve Ditko to surface. His picture is at the bottom right in this 1945 yearbook. His ambitions are undecided. Defiant1

Lol! He's got that Classic Comic Nerd Face.....Golden Age style. I wonder what he would've done if he hadn't started drawing comics. He looks like a thinker. Defiant1

Defiant1 That is a d**n good question and observation. Somehow I think he still would have been a success, I just wonder if he would have been such a recluse had he chosen a non-artistic profession.
