So this is the "Seven" book Defiant1 mentioned in other threads!
This looks even rarer than the Miracle on Broadway.
I'll pay for any 1 copy too!
Or even trade something sombody's looking for.

No more than 12 unique Miracle on Broadway comics have ever been reported sold. There is no evidence to support that the Miracle on Broadway Comics have survived. defiant1

Brother J,
Any update from Svair? It turns my stomach to read the Valiant board, so I haven't been there in awhile.

Don't know if anyone read this article but here's one from last year that was posted on Newsarama:"SHOOTER & WOHL ON SEVEN" forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=115854Here's an exerpt at the end of the article: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Plans for the moment include Wohl self-publishing the book. The first seven issues of Seven are set in concrete, with Shooter writing the first two issues and at least plotting the next five. The first issue is due out in July."------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sounds pretty cool...(would be even cooler if it came out!) ;D I just noticed the inker's name (John Livesay) on the "Seven" cover has also been doing the inks the new Legion of Superheroes book too.

I sent an email to them to see if they might have any copies left. I doubt I'll hear back from them....the site looks like it hasn't been updated in awhile...

You know in the "Seven" website there's a "Join the Seven Mailing list" where you enter your email for updates? sevensuperheroes.com/Well, I joined the "mailing list" last month and in the confirmation email I got there was a contact email for questions. So I gave it a shot (I knew it was a slim chance i'd hear back) and emailed the contact mailing list guy (Andrew) and asked if there were any copies available to purchase for "Seven" and here's what I got responded: Hi,
How did you get my email address?
Thanks,
Andrewlol....that was it. I wrote him back letting him know that his email was right there from the site's mailing contact info list and asked if there were any copies of "Seven" #1 available to purchase but no response after that and it was a month ago I emailed back. That was prety much it. Why not say the comic was cancelled or postponed or not available at this time? I mean, the site is still up! sheesh...! It's like the "Seven" comic is shrouded in mystery....The Kaballah police don't want it out there.... ;D

Everything about the release party just looks like name dropping for attention. Perhaps it succeeded since Jim got a paying gig at DC. There is a catch-22 about taking a comic book property and making it hot or marketable. People don't want to see concepts anymore. They want to see an actual product. Anyone can do a mock up of a comic. I think that's why Platinum Comics eventually started publishing. They had a huge backlog of comic properties, but no active products in the market.

I'm going to New York tomorrow, going to spend a day and night there and go to the Big Apple Comicon. I hope to get a chance to talk to Shooter, and hopefully I can ask him what happened with this project. Wish me luck as I always get nervous when it comes to things like this. Guess I get starstruck, even though they are just comic book creators.

Yea, I was able to get a copy from the inker of the book, Livesay. I asked Livesay last Summer if he had any spare copies of 7 and he mentioned that he didn't receive any copies for himself but told me to wait and he would remember to get me one the next time he saw Jim Shooter. Fast foward to a few months later and Livesay was able to pick up a copy from Jim Shooter at the New York Comic Con! And they both signed it! The whole art team for the book! They also signed a copy of Legion #39 as well! Bonus!! I freaked out when I opened the package today. Almost couldn't believe it! I sent Livesay a huge thank you for getting me a copy. I'm still reading through the comic tonight. It's a cool looking book. There's a sketch page section in the back, bio sections for the creators, some photo pics from the Feb. 2007 NYCC (a couple pics from the photos like Defiant1 posted in the first page of this thread), and an Illustrated Media art ad too. Still absorbing this issue as I go. The art pages are nice and glossy. The inside is dated July, 2007 and says "Published Quarterly" from Intrinsic Comics and the contact info on the comic is basically Illustrated Media and lists the "seven/gmail" address that's on the regular website of sevensuperheroes.com. Still can't believe I got it....."Birth of the Defiant Universe" and "Seven" in one week! Epic!!
