Yes, I am he (Chris)... and NO PROB Jim, I told ya I would look out for ya (same goes for the Shooter card). I just got mine in today and here is a scan of the back cover. Nothing special came inside the binder, no comic, no letter and no card but it is still nice to have this '3rd edition binder' cause it looks SNAZZY... and Jim, I'll see ya this weekend bud !!! BTW, CorvetteJim has TOTALLY squared me away with some REALLY cool Defiant stuff. Everything from a boatload of cards, chase cards, comics and a FANTASTIC Defiant t-shirt (which my wife finally made me take off... I didnt know that is what I would have to do to get my wife to tell me to take my clothes off... hubba hubba)... so I want to send out a big THANK YOU to Jim for the 'stuff' and really getting me into Defiant even more.

I have provided a better scan of the front cover as well. The first looked so wrinkly because it had the 'revco shrink wrap' on it.

The set came wrapped looking just like this: I hope that this information is helpful to you all out there.

i just got my 3rd ed. binder on mon.its so cool i cant wait to fill it. But think about it. A mom walks into Revco and her kid says "Hey mommy, I want that...sniffff". Is she going to buy a $3 pack of baseball cards and make daddy happy too...or is she going to get a $30 'what-the-hell-is-that' package? I don't think any thought was put into consumer expectations and consumer reaction to the product when it was put in Revco. Defiant1

Any ideas on how to smooth the wrinkles out of that binder?
It seems to be the same as a Dark Dominion binder, but has a couple fewer pages.

Been talking about it to CorvetteJim and we are thinking that perhaps a blowdryer might work to tighten them up... if I had extras, I would experiment. Odd thing, my Dark Dominion binder has extra pages... a factory error. More for the promo cards then. WELCOME Depluto !!!! Looks like the membership is growing day by day...

The expanding and shrinking of the plastic due to temperature changes is probably stretching the plastic over time. Polypropylene comic bags do the same thing over time. Defiant1

I was thinking of spreading a towel over it and hitting it with an iron ... just don't want to risk making it worse.

And what is he asking? I don't even own a 2nd edition binder. I had to borrow a friends binder to scan it. I own 3 1st print binders from the day it came out. Defiant1

The seller's email address is:
bighitronzfl@earthlink.net
Last time I checked, he wanted a BIN of $9.99 (a price hike of a dollar after I sent a couple folks his way).
I love that binder as well... the art is way different from the others. While a Dark Dominion quality binder, it is just 'neat' to have this Revco version. I opened mine right away as the plastic wrap already had a hole in it. No problem for me though as I would have busted it open anyways.

I picked up a third edition Plasm binder from the same seller. I'm hoping it makes it here in good shape. Were these only available through this retailer (Revco) or were they sold elsewhere?
Man, I really didn't want to start collecting cards again, but these things are cool and pretty cheap.

I BINed one from him as well! Thanks for the 'heads-up', Chris! I wrote to him, & he said he has one more Revco pack left. Dave, I could give you his e-mail address, if you want the last one. Let me know. If you don't, I might get it as well. Never know if you'll see another...Can't wait to get mine! ---Steve

Opened my Premium tin tonight, gonna put them in the Premiere binder and get this... the goofs gave me five dupe cards. And that is just what I noticed so far. And my card count is at least 153 cards out of the 150. sigh... correlation folks. Can you imagine paying the $170 back in the day just to get screwed like this ?
grrrrrrrrr.....

Yes the cassette is included along with four very fine bonus cards. I plan on keeping the cassette sealed though and will still wait for the WMA.
If I can get the cheaper tin sometime, I will be replacing those that I may be missing. Still no tally yet as to exactly what is and is not missing.
This tin here is REALLY nice... I highly recommend it. But I think that the prices are really up there.

Remember that the cards in the Premium Edition tin are foil stamped while the cards that come in the Special Edition tin are the basic ones. To my knowledge the Premium Edition tin is the only place to get the foil stamped cards. You forgot to mention the secret compartment

That was one of my biggest beefs when I was collecting cards, whether they be sports cards or other non-sports cards. Some of the card brands had such poor collation that sometimes you could open a box and get 10 copies of one card while never getting one of a different card. I remember one particular minor league baseball card set I was trying to put together, I ended up buying 10 boxes of cards and was still missing cards in my first set.
I don't recall ever getting a factory set and have it missing cards, though. I think in the old days of card collecting, if you had a problem with a factory set, you could take it back to the store you bought it from. I'm sure that's not an option if you bought your set off eBay or somewhere similiar.

So what's in the secret compartment? I never bought the real expensive tin, although I did buy two of the regular tins, Mule tins, & Splatterbowl tins when they came out... Chris, what did this set you back? If it's affordable, I'd like to find one myself! I do have a Plasm uncut card sheet & Dark Dominion framed lithograph. I wonder how hard-to-find these items are? With that ebay auction going for $60 so far, there may be a renewed & growing interest in Defiant.---Steve

Secret compartment... sigh. OK Technique just HAD to put that out there LOL !!! I got my tin set from Tech... I had also gotten quite a few other cards from him (Unity, VE2 chase cards, etc). I knew that I should be getting a box from him soon and finally it shows up (after he ACTS like he will 'get around' to mailing it out... evil Tech). Well, I know that there were supposed to be these extra cards as well as the level one and level two chase cards. I open the tin (unsealed mind you) and I look in the tin, the box, sifting through all the peanuts and everything... no chase cards, no extra cards, so I am freaking out. Was the box broken into ? Did he forget to send all of the items that we traded for any the extra goodies ? So, I burst transmit out an email to him asking all sorts of questions. So, I take all the cards out of the lining of the box just to look at them all. Mind you, I am distracted at the 'missing cards'... my wife picks up the empty tin and says, 'this is pretty heavy for just a tin'. I examine said tin and find it to be unusually heavy. I remove the lining of the tin and low and behold, find the ever elusive SECRET COMPARTMENT full of all the cards that I talked about earlier. So, my wife is just standing there looking at me with that 'Chris, you are an idiot' look that I love to get so much. I hurry and hope back on the computer to email my friend a quick SWEET JESUS, I FOUND IT... I FOUND IT email. So there you have it... I have found the extremely rare 'secret compartment Plasm Premium Tin set'. As Technique sits back and giggles his ass off...
