From the intro the writer shows he can't stand Defiant, period. Shooter's concept doesn't work for everyone, I guess.

The guy's mind was more than likely made up about the book before he even read the first page.

Yeah, I didnt get the impression the writer had a long history of reading comic books. I think he probably more in love with pose covers drawn by the hot artist of the month than a good story.
I will say that it does seem hard to believe the cover price was $3.50. That seems expensive even today, let alone 15 years ago. But otherwise, the review was worthless.

I will say that it does seem hard to believe the cover price was $3.50. That seems expensive even today, let alone 15 years ago. But otherwise, the review was worthless. It was oversized if I recall correctly. Defiant was pretty good about tossing in extra story pages and selling for the same price as competitors that were offering less pages and more ads. Q
