Beavis & Butthead Greatest Hits I gambled when I bought this half price. The store puts a price label right on the book. I gambled that I'd be able to remove it. I was doing pretty good until the label virtually falls off. I thought "that was too easy". I look closer and the gloss coating on the cover stock peeled off with the label. So now it's damaged and I'm annoyed. The clerk was saying "We've just got so many of these trade paperbacks we have to blow them out half price". The clerk is lamenting that they haven't sold more product, so a little voice inside wants to scream... [glow=pink,2,300] "Then why the fuck do you put a damn price sticker on the product!?!!!"[/glow] I get so annoyed when people damage product or let it get damaged then mope over the fact it doesn't sell. Was it a comic shop or a book store-type place? The book stores think no one cares if there are stickers all over the books. If it was a comic shop, that was pretty stupid of them.

By the way, I've thought of buying these B&B trades because I'm guessing the print runs are pretty small and that they are not kept in print. I haven't made the effort so far because I already have a complete set of the comic. I bought all 28 issues as they came out.

I once picked out around 400 comics from a store's quarter boxes only to notice after all that work the store had put little white stickers directly on the back covers of all their quarter comics so they could tell which comics were quarter comics. I put all those quarter books back. Most were bagged and boarded and I didn't notice those stickers until the end. Hey, I've got an idea! Let's damage our own inventory!

It WAS a comibnation book & comic book store, but the book store went bankrupt for not paying taxes and the comic portion was evidently run as a separate business and it spun off. They also have a LOT of cool indy and modern underground comics flopping over the overstuffed magazine rank where they are kept. Some are in just plain nasty shape. Q

Somebody needs to put out an Idiocracy comic. "You like munay too? I like munay. We should hang out together more often." Q
