I didn't know Joel Silver was involved with the TV show. I posted it because the video interested me. I figured it mght interest others. The irony is that just a day earlier I'd thought to myself "I wonder what Russ Cochran looks like" I've seen his name for years but I had no clue if he was my age, older, or what.

Thanks for posting the clip. I remember recording the whole awards show back around 1995 off TV. They also honor Forest Ackerman, who created Famous Monsters, and was instrumental to launching the Warren Horror mag line, which incorporated many of the original EC artists, including some of Frazetta's best paintings.

I've seen Forrest Ackerman at Dragon Con. He is in the fumetti Flaming Carrot comic that was made from pictures taken at Dragon Con. I remember that show well because I had been looking for an Anomalies fumetti comic made by some guys in Florida. The show was crowded as hell and when I saw Bob Burden and his cohort dressed in a Flaming Carrot costume, they left a wake behind them as they plowed through the crowd. I followed them because they were going the same direction that I was and I hadn't seen Bob in awhlie. When we got through to the other side of the crowd it put me right in front of the Awesome Comics table. Bob had led me directly to a publisher that I wanted to buy product from. They didn't have single issues, but they had a TPB which I snagged instantly. I also picked up a "Killer Robots" t-shirt. That was the last Dragon Con I liked. It was cool seeing the comic when it came out... and Forest Ackerman was in it. I think Steranko was also. I'm sure they are all friends of my friend Sean who deals in movie posters and comics. He knows so many people it's unbelievable. Q
