Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! you are making the same mistake everyone else makes. Mylar is a specific brand of plastic. The bag in the picture is not Mylar. The bag is a thick polypropylene. For long term storage, it is not good for your comics. Mylar is good for long term storage. The DEFIANT bag you see in the picture is what came with the comic when it was handed out in Philadelphia. While it's cool, if you care about long term archival storage of your comics, it makes more sense to remove it from the bag. Mine is still in the original bag, but the comic should not be considered incomplete without it. defiant1

I bought a Shi #8 Gold Combo edition awhile back. It came bagged in this Defiant poly bag. I was like WTF is this from? Glad someone started this thread. ;D
