Cool. I haven't seen that in years. I don't think I ever entered the contest. Couldn't think of an original superpower . If I had only known what they were looking for ;D...

In 1994 I had no interest in creating concepts, only watching them unfold. Years later (and one of my first character ideas), I thought it would be neat if a team like Harbinger had a real dog (not like the inhumans) that would bark telepathically just like a normal dog might bark. The bad guys wouldn't know what to stop since the dogs mouth wasn't moving. I would've wanted to explore mutant animals a little more or something beyond the standard fare. I don't even own any pets, I just think that a stupid (or even moderately intelligent) animal with super-abilities could really twist a story. Most comic rely on choice. Animals have the ability to introduce unplanned chaos. Defiant1

Blood Syndicate had a mutated (Bang Baby) dog that talked and their was this two part story in Static guest starring Blood Syndicate's Boogeyman that had a group of super powered chiwawas. They had normal animal intelligence but with super powers. One used teleportation, one could create copies of himself, one could grow at will, and one used mind control (which would make humans act like dogs). Interesting stuff, ofcourse most of Milestone's comics were.

Interesting stuff, ofcourse most of Milestone's comics were. I never read Milestone. I would NOT have wanted a talking dog or anything silly like Krypto. I like Krypto , but I'd want something more serious. If you had an invincible dog that was simply doing what dogs do... how would you handle it? What if you couldn't kill it and you couldn't stop it either? It would be worse than living next to bears. Average people would be be in horror. I don't think stories explore the fringe concepts as much as they could. Just think of how many doctor, lawyer and police television shows exist. I am so sick of those premises that I just won't even watch them unless I'm just completely bored or there is an attractive female on the show. Defiant1
