I have all the reprints from the 70's East Coast Comix run up to the Gemstone New direction comics of late 90's.

I'd like to get a reprint with the cover from Weird Science Fantasy #29, since I'll probably never own a nice copy of the original book. I know there's at least one reprint with that cover, but even the reprint seems tough to find

Great Frazetta cover!

Defiant1 Classic Frazetta that was originally slated to be used as a Famous Funnies cover.

Actually, I just reread the cover story from that issue of Haunt of Fear. It's not one of their better stories. It's a bit disjointed. Also, the logic in the story is a bit lacking. "They'll never think of looking for a fresh corpse in the coffin of a man who died in 1867. " Oh really? Freshly dug soil wouldn't be a clue? It would take longer than 6 months for the ground to look undisturbed in a 75 year old abandoned cemetery. But anyway, I never was as much into the horror titles. I prefered the Shock & Crime titles. Either that or the Weird Science & Weird Fantasy stuff.

SG donated 10 Gladstone scans, so I'm only missing 3 now. Thanks SG!

I can supply the missing ones. I may have to change my scanner settings. I don't know. I'll try to get them to you shortly.

If they are big and don't have color filters applied making them look fluorescent, I can usually work with them. Of course these covers have some very unusual shades on them. They took CMYK seriously and tried to make them mostly Cyan & Magenta. Defiant1

I dug up some scans online and completed the Gladstone reprints checklist. ecarchive.fateback.com/Gladstone/Gladstone_EC_Reprints.htmlI don't plan on doing much else with it. I may start a Gemstone reprint checllist. Actually, I can't remember who published the oversized EC comics. Maybe they belong here. Defiant1

In 1973 Gladstone publisher and famed comic book dealer Bruce Hamilton started a comic book club in Phoenix, AZ. I was thirteen years old, and joined the club. I remember Bruce showing old sci-fi movies using some sort of ancient technology during the meetings. It was also a great place to work on my comic book collection. Just an aside, and hopefully not too boring of one. I always liked to follow what Bruce was up to in comics after that. Later in life after I had opened my first comic book store, Bruce stopped in and visited. Mod: feel free to move this post, if appropriate. Just some things I think about when I run across Gladstone.

He's someone that has affected a lot of collectors in the hobby. I think that's pretty cool. Defiant1
