Well..i took a second and saved all the unpublished pages to my computer...whew! The pages are so cheap I dont know how they will last with the cat out of the bag. Even cooler is the fact that the thirties pages actually have handwritten word ballons!! way cool, defiant1 why didnt u know:)

Mr Jones had agreed to negotiate with me on the sale of some of that art, but failed to return my email. I consider most of the Broadway & Defiant art to be worthless once the best pieces are cherry picked. For me the value comes from having sets or a bulk lot. In that sense I've been getting much better prices on Broadway & Defiant art.
I'll look and see if anything interests me enough to buy it, but since I'm about to shell out $3000 for a new transmission, the odds are I will pass entirely. I'd save the scans, but I'm not interested in owning scans with the site's watermark all over them.
This is exactly why I quit promoting unpublished works and the website entirely. My goal was to collect the unpublished works so that fans could appreciate them. It was not my goal to encourage artists to pull it out of their closet and disperse it to all corners of the globe to where it could not be collected and appreciated as a set.
I'm more disappointed than enthused.
Go get the best pieces now while you can. Good luck.
Perhaps I will have a more desireable response from another artist regarding some Broadway pieces I've inquired upon.

Well actually i thought it would be cool if you used the art pages and the plot notes to do what you did with the pages of schism #1! That would rock! So did you know these were available before? Are there any other missing schism pages out there that you have or have seen?

To answer your question, I am not pleased with the overall experience of creating my DEFIANT site nor do I continuously scour the web searching for DEFIANT collectibles. I do not search for art from Mr. Jones since I already own some of his work and the rest is in my opinion overpriced (for what it is), cherry picked, or scattered beyond my willingness to reconstruct the unpublished stories. My hope was to discuss the matter with Mr. Jones himself, but intead I always seem to get 3rd parties like yourself who just point me to his work after the conditions and prices are not acceptable.
I introduced myself to him a few years ago and my follow-up attempt to contact him by email failed for reasons unknown.
I will not be posting or saving art scans with watermarks. I will not be attempting to reconstruct the story again with art that has watermarks.
A girl who used to work at the comic shop closest to my home is friends with JG Jones' wife. I've assumed it's been within my ability to contact Mr. Jones through my friend. I have elected not to do so. It is my nature is to ask respectfully once and that's it. It's not in my nature to grovel or plead.
I respect the Mr. Jones' artistic talent, but I have no interest in using the content you've linked me to in the manner which it was presented.
Thank you for showing the consideration you did.
As far as missing art goes, I don't keep track anymore. An artist promised me photocopies of the schism art as part of a $600 purchase I made. He did not stand true to his words.
Comic book artists and creators speak in idealisms, not realisms. Their words align with how they want things to be, not how they really are. It's a bit too chaotic for me

I'm kind of interested in some of the covers, moreso the color covers because they are a little more in my price range. Sadly, I am trying to be resolute in not spending money on comic or related stuff for a while yet. I spent too much in NYC when I was there for the Big Apple show.

Sadly, I am trying to be resolute in not spending money on comic or related stuff for a while yet. I spent too much in NYC when I was there for the Big Apple show. I'll be honest, I clicked the link briefly and never went back. I saw the covers, but I have no interest in dealing with an art broker. I would have bought blocks of art directly and the deal would have been over and done with. As it is those pieces will be cherry picked and his earliest least proficient work will just sit there for years unsold. It has meaning to so few collectors, that I doubt it'll sell well piece by piece. As far as the color covers go, I'm pretty sure I own Good Guys #1- 5. I own Dogs of War #1, Wardancer #1, 2(?), 5. Warriors of Plasm #9, 10. Birth of the DEFIANT Universe #1, Dark Dominion #4. I know Janet said she was holding the early Dark Dominion covers for Joe James. I think(?) David Lapham owned or wanted the early Plasm covers. The options are slim for getting good DEFIANT covers. I like the color pieces better than the inked pieces anyway. To be honest, I haven't even looked to see all the J..G. pieces that are available. At this late stage, I just don't care. He should have followed up when I made the offer a few years ago. I've moved on. I'm having more fun with my Charlton list now and I'm not even a huge fan of Charlton's product or quality. I 'm just impressed with the footprint they made. Q.

There's been some more attention thrown at these pages, a new poster on the Valiant board recently discovered the JG Jones pages at the Fanfare site and published a link to the site. I finally went ahead and bit the bullet and bought one of the color covers. It is for Dark Dominion #11, the unpublished issue. Here's a look at it (with watermark) The same poster also put together scans of the Schism #3 pages with the plot and posted it on the Valiant board.
