I got this for $10 in 1982 or so... not a bad deal.

Getting this was the most involved trade I ever made. After an hour of negotiating with a retailer, he just would not trade an Amazing Spiderman #1 (Fair) for my stack of Valiant duplicates. Dollar-wise at the time I knew the value was equal and that he could get more from the Valiant than he could by selling the Spiderman #1. He was shrewd. He wouldn't budge on the trade. We sifted through the numbers and he said I wanted too much for my Harbinger issues. I was NOT going to take less for my Harbinger issues. We were at a stalemate. I pondered the problem awhile and looked him in the eye. I said I'm going to leave for a little bit. I'm going to come back and we'll do a trade. He looked confused, but said okay. I drove to Tucker, that where the Harbinger kids were from right?. I walked into another shop and said. "I want to trade my duplicate Harbinger issues for the copy of Strange Tales #110 that you have in your case." Linda behind the counter said "Yeah, I can do that.". I made the trade. I went back to the other store and put the same Valiant books on the counter with a Strange Tales #110 in place of the Harbinger issues. I told the dealer what I'd done. He looks at me and says "Yeah, I'll do the trade." He got the Valiant issues he wanted and a key book (1st Dr. Strange) in the deal also. As time went by, I eventually traded a stack of Valiant for an Amazing Fantasy #15. I had the first and second Spiderman appearances, but I still wanted Fantastic Four #1 where it all began. Perhaps it wasn't the best trade in my life, but I traded my Spiderman #1 and a duplicate copy of Giant-Size X-Men #1 for this FF#1 below. So now I don't own Spiderman #1 anymore, but I do own the first appearance of the FF and the first appearance of Spiderman. Did I really need a Spiderman #1? It's his 2nd appearance. Ina roundabout way, I traded Valiant for this FF#1. I'm not complaining....
