one interesting thing when I read the info about the board, this quote, which I believe was originally from Pauline Weiss:
I did a little research into this, I know the old Western Publishing was based here in Racine, but doesn't exist any longer and apparently the large building they used is now being used by several other organizations. I believe that the Golden Books properties were bought by Random House. Is there some possibility there might actually be some hidden treasure trove where they might have some Western Publishing related items still about (particularly Broadway Comic items)? It seems unlikely as I would think someone would have to be paying to store such items somewhere.

I can imagine in my mind a bunch of temporary workers tossing them with much vigor into a dumpster and laughing as they break to a million pieces. It would be nice to think they survived, but I doubt they did. Defiant1
