Any Shi comic (except the one J.G. Jones & Bedard worked on) was fair game for me to buy and sell for big bucks. I just never cared for any of it. This is one I bought and was too lazy to try and sell. Defiant1

I have a full run of the Shi original series along with some of the variant covers, but that's as far as I went with it. Nice eye candy, not sure if I'll ever actually read the books.

I think the number of people who read it and liked it is 10% of the people who just had to have it. Sometimes I think of replacing #1... then I ask myself "Why?" and I don't have any reason at all. I don't like it and there is much better eye candy out there. Defiant1

I like that book you have Q. Never seen it before. Where do you find this stuff?
Shi to me is a pretty cover gallery and thats about it. Ive never had a desire to read them. Ive cracked a few open and within 5 pages, Im done with it. The best way to look at them is bagged and boarded. I think they make a nice gallery that way, but otherwise, no substance.

I got back into comics when Valiant was becoming a blip on the radar. It pulled me in and it was the only thing that reminded me of the old comics I loved in the 70's and 80's. When Shooter was ousted, I was back to square one. Marvel wasn't impressing me. DC never impressed me. I start looking towards indy books. Titles like Cavewoman and Sinnamon were fun. I liked Broadway & Defiant. I picked up any oddball comic that interested me. Some of the comics were eclectic. Some just struck me as having high production values. Some i just bought to sell. I used to have the early Shi issues, the early and limited razor issues. Stranger in Paradise #1. I scoured the town pulling gems out of back issue boxes. I also read the Previews solicitations and hand picked items that I knew retailers weren't going to order. I went back to stores that had a wide variety of indy comics and avoided the ones that tried to tell me Spiderman was everything. Q

I never got into Shi, but I owned quite a few. I tried to sell most off. This was an oddball appearance. Q

seen this book before, but never had any urge to buy it. I do have a complete run of the original Shi series, I picked them up cheaply over the years after the book was no longer "hot". I've never read them but the art is pretty to look at.

Shi: Way of the Warrior Fan Appreciation Edition #1 Do they really need the name of a comic to be f**k**g book length? Defiant1
