All the scans I have are now posted/linked. The only ones I didn't have are some Reddy Kilowatt scans. I had to remove the East Coast Comix page because the free host is 100% full and including that exceeds the allowed space.

Replaced all the links from the old host and now they all link to what had been the mirror site. The previous host offered more storage space, but they were unreliable and run by morons.

A breakthrough! Last night I acquired scans of the two Reddy Kilowatt comics my my EC page was missing. I still need an upgrade of the Diamond Jubillee issue, but at least I have something for people to reference. The two scans I got last night are fairly large scans and one I'd never seen online before. I will post them when I get a chance.

Okay. I was awake all night last night. I've slept most of the day today. I made one trip to a bookstore and they had nothing that excited me. Earlier, I started working on getting the two Reddy Kilowatt images cropped and realized there are two versions of #3 from 1956. I may have just downloaded a duplicate of one I've already got posted. The info on these promo comics is sketchy and the Tales of Terror hardcover doesn't show a complete set of scans or even good quality scans. Now I have to research what the difference is between Cover A and Cover B again because I forgot. I think one has a California connection, but I can't remember. Sigh. All that and my messageboard was denying connections for the past hour. Off to go eat. I'll have to get my sleep back on track by next Monday. I've been on a 2 week vacation. Wizard World Atlanta is Friday. Debating whether to go. I'm betting it will be a financial flop.

I figured it out. This is the new scan of a comic that I was missing. To my knowledge, I'd never seen a scan or picture before. I found the image on Flickr. I am still missing a good scan of this... The banner on the left has different text and does mention California. Defiant1

The EC comics checklist has been updated to version 2.25! Impact #1 had a second printing! bit.ly/eY6XrEI'll post more at a later date about this... probably. Q

Wow! The EC Checklist is mighty impressive man! I haven't looked in awhile. Do you have what you "feel" like is the whole collection? I always "assumed" their library would be more massive. If not for expense, it looks doable. P.S. Those rope books are pretty cool. It's cool how back in the day comics were used to help with education and history telling. I remember when I was back in school, I would have been a lot more interested in a subject if it was told in comic book form. Today there is absolutely no need for it due to technology and stuff, but I still would like to think it would get the message across better than some other methods around today. It's unique. It grabs interest and it also fosters an interest in comics. Win-win-win.

Most of the scans you see came from high grade copies (online scans). I own a few oddities, but most of my stuff is the cheaper stuff. Eisner's Preventive Service manuals for the military are drawn in comic format for the exact reason you state. It conveys info well in a way that helps teach. Anytime I see anything new regarding EC's as collectibles, I try to update my list accordingly. The Wire Rope variant back covers were shown on another messageboard, so I cropped and cleaned up the images. That was 1 comic now listed as the 4 known variants. I have to assume there are more. I guess I need to pay attention to the promo comics more closely to compare back cover scans of the rest. Defiant1

I wasn't asking if you owned the whole EC library, I was asking if you thought your EC Checklist was complete. I knew there was no way you would have owned the whole thing. It would take a lot of dough and time to do something like that.

I wasn't asking if you owned the whole EC library, I was asking if you thought your EC Checklist was complete. I knew there was no way you would have owned the whole thing. It would take a lot of dough and time to do something like that. I think there is nothing online that compares to my checklist for completeness. Especially, when you consider the promo comic scans and the Superior comic reprints which still needs more data. Grant Geissman has the ultimate book written on EC, but I have scans for things his book doesn't show. Shortcomings exist... Picture Stories From the Bible had multiple printings and multiple printings of the collected volumes. I don't have Gemstone reprints even attempted. All that aside, I think ANY collector whether novice or pro has the best checklist they can find in one place on that site. I don't think ANY checklist can be complete. The minute I think a checklist is complete, a new discovery pops up. I was exceedingly pleased to complete a set of Reddy Kilowatt scans as far as what is known to exist. As soon as I did, I discovered I was missing an alternate printing of Crime Suspenstories #1. Then I discovered I had a recalled printing of Impact #1 posted and I was missing the regular version. This past week I discovered there are multiple back covers of the Wire Rope promo comic. As complete as I think my list is, I'm just going to say it's more complete than anyone else's. Same with my Charlton checklist, except I'm missing a lot of the Charlton scans. Defiant1

A comment about copyrights on the checklist page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridgeman_Art_Library_v._Corel_Corp. This portion from the section on UK law is an abbreviated summary of whether a scan or photograph is worthy of it's own copyright protection: " kill, labour or judgment merely in the process of copying cannot confer originality"
The copyright owner of these images would be the owner of the original art itself, not someone who scans or photographs it. The scans are provided as a "Fair Use" image sampling what the comic looks like so that collectors may pursue ownership.
All images used on this site have some degree of touch-up or processing done in an attempt to achieve aesthetic quality standards without compromising the general appearance of the comics.
