I have an EC comics checklist coming soon. It will not list Mad magazines, only the comics. It will list the short lived magazines from 1955. Terror Illustrated etc...

I ALMOST bought my first real EC Comic (as opposed to a reprint). Someone had a very clean VG+ copy of Weird Science-Fantasy #29 (Frazetta Buck Rogers cover), opening bid of $39.99, Buy It Now of $150. I bid the opening bid on it, hoping that maybe I could sneak it out under $100. It was not to be, however. It ended up getting bid right back up to the $150. Makes me wonder if I shouldn't have just popped the BIN. I guess it's for the best since I really shouldn't be buying big ticket items like that right now. I just love that cover. I wish someone would have reprinted that issue or made a poster of the cover, but I haven't seen evidence of either.

I would pay more for early ones, but the later ones are more common. defiant1

Ive always wanted to buy some EC's. I think the condition Brother J mentions is what I would be looking for. I may be able to go as low as a VG-, but I dont think I would want to go any lower. A VG+ would probably be ideal in terms of condition and affordable price. I would imagine once you get to FN the prices start getting crazy. The 1950's are an area of comics I would just love to break into. I have like less than 10 pieces of any company or genre from that period. EC's, Horror Sci-Fi and Superhero books are all books I slobber over when I see them compared to 60s to present books we've all seen a million times.
EC's you're unlikely to find someone else where you see the same book you have. I like owning stuff with that built in uniqueness.

Prices can get high, but I think a lot of older collectors are getting in poor health and you'll eventually see these come back out on the market.

That list has a lot of junk that is not EC. It lists Mad Magazine specials and stuff that has nothing to do with what EC was. I also can't stand blurry poor quality scans so I am collecting better quality scans. I'll stick with what I have. Defiant1

Have you thought about adding the paperback reprints from the early 1960's? I have Tales From The Crypt (Frazetta cover), The Vault of Horror, and The Autumn People (Bradbury reprints). There may be another one I'm not remembering (should check before I post...)

There may be another one I'm not remembering (should check before I post...) I want to stop with the 50's. I may one day make a linked page and start recording the multitude of reprints that exist, but that's a whole new can of worms!! defiant1

All the comic checklists on one one of my host were coming up positive for a virus infection at work. This was a server side infection and I'm not able to duplicate the problem at home or find any thing wrong with the files on the server. Please make sure you have antivirus software running and up to date. AVG free antivirus software... free.avg.com/ww.download?prd=afedefiant1

Nice. Those Confessions Illustrated are very tough to find. I have Shock Illustrated #1 & #2, and Terror Illustrated #1, and consider myself quite lucky just to have those!

Updated my EC checklist to have a link to the East Coast Comix Checklist. ecchecklist.50webs.com/East_Coast/East_Coast.htmlThe question is... does Brother J consider these to be underground comics since the publisher spell their name "comix" with an "x"? defiant1

I don't know anything about this publisher or how they acquired the rights. It would not shock me if these were published by an underground comics publisher. Defiant1

The EC checklist is up to version 1.92 on the mirror site. I'm having problems with the main site updating again.
Scans have been added for all the Moon/Girl related titles. Scans to Modern Love were added. Piracy scans were added.
