This is the first comic I've bought in awhile. I was bored and there was a comic book show today. Anything I liked was in too rough of a condition or just too expensive. I was going to walk out with nothing, but I decided to get this. Animal Fables #1 This was published in 1946. This is the first year that EC really started as a company. They had the Pictures Stories from the Bible series, but this is the first month they started a new batch of titles. Ironically, I was looking at a "Land of the Lost" #1 also. Both are pretty HTF. This appealed to me more. "Land of the Lost" is based upon an old radio show. Defiant1 Defiant1

Is the 1970s Saturday Morning Live Action show Land of the Lost based on the comic you are referencing?

Completely unrelated. This is the comic I almost bought, I believe this is a rare animated interpretation of the radio show. Defiant1

You're probably one of the only people who know what I'm talking about. Although not related, I totally dig that cover. Interesting picture, great colors and sweet lettering on that logo. Yeah, I like that book.

Elecktra Woman and Dyna Girl probably bumped up puberty a few years early for me. EC gave you a lot to read even before Bill Gaines took over the company. Defiant1 Yeah totally not related. Went to a show and almost nothing interested me. Finally shelled out the money and bought this: Land of the Lost #1 Don't like the bottom staple, but the price was okay considering it has nice visual appeal overall. Defiant1

Must have been a good weekend for comic shows! I'm glad the one here was yesterday, because we are being socked by snow here today.
