There are some Tekno Comics' checklists floating around the web that have "Anne McCaffrey's The Unicorn Girl" listed. This is not a comic. It is a book consisting mainly of text. It does have illustrations scattered throughout.
I am not a fan of Tekno. I'm not a fan of Anne McCaffrey despite having seen her in person more than once. This is a very oddball item that Big E published.
My friend that did a murder/suicide this year was a huge fan of Anne McCaffrey. I bought this probably because I miss him and it reminds me of our chats and the good times we had working together. The online McCaffrey fans are kinda what pulled him away from the rock solid marriage he did have. His online conversations with what another friend calls the "fantasy chicks" caused him to think the grass was greener outside his marriage. It wasn't greener. He left the stable relationship he'd had for 18 years for something that ultimately wasn't what he wanted. He betrayed the one person who loved him the most and shattered everyone's trust. He lost his relationship with his son and ultimately shut everyone out due to his depression. May 5th 2006 was the last day I hung out with my friend and it is also the day I met a girl I dated over the span of a year. I'm not a fan of Anne McCaffrey at all. I'm not really interested in the wild imaginations of "fantasy chicks" either. I never have liked the fantasy genre. I bought this in memory of my friend Jason. I bought in memory of a good man who did a very horrible and senseless act. I will forever look back on 2006 & 2007 and wonder if there was something more I could have done to prevent what happened. Regardless, here is the odd and mysterious Tekno publication that really doesn't belong on a comic book checklist...if not for Jason, I wouldn't know who the hell she was. Sometimes I wish he didn't ever know who the hell she was.
