I just got my Defiant stash from my storage and have tonz of card questions as I go through them. ;D I opened my "Splatter Bowl I Preview" tin and found the ad inside and wondered if the main "Splatter Bowl I" Tins ever made it out to stores: Coming January 1994! Any of these planned tins make it out like the Chasm/Mule tins?

Nope! It's possible some exist in the hands of employees. There was a Plasm "Goo" toy that existed. None were ever sold or produced for consumers. The toy deal fell through and that's probably one of the factors that helped them make the decision to shut down.

And there were plans for Plasm slime too? sheesh...."Thanks for spoiling another company Marvel Comics!!" Agh!! Does anyone know what the chase card ratio is per Plasm box? I was able to find a sealed box at this baseball card shop. They had a box left for clearance at 9 bux.

This page is great, Thanks! Hey CorvetteJim, do you have the "Premium" Tin in your Defiant Collection? Just a side note, the Premium tin does come up for sale on ebay occasionally, but Special edition tin sets are sometimes solicited as Premium tin sets so be careful when buying. The audio from the cassette tape that comes in the Premium tin set can be heard by clicking the link on my Defiant page. Defiant1

Defiant1 Do you know how much they sell for these days? I see alot of the regular tins on ebay as "Buy it nows." I guess I have to look out for the cover artwork to differentiate between the 2 tins when sellers list them. The audio from the cassette tape that comes in the Premium tin set can be heard by clicking the link on my Defiant page. Defiant1 I did hear that! Very cool that you linked that. I never knew there was an audio cassette in the Premium Tin. I'm actually in now re-reading the whole Defiant Universe run again. Been years since I read it. I see there's a few threads here that detail some of the "Schism" plots and I'm looking foward to checking those out as I read the run first.

I don't actually own the Premium tin. I haven't followed prices in a very long time.
Collecting the schism storyline & artwork was a venture I abandoned long ago. Some of the creators were more interested in holding the unpublished work back and seeing how much they could get for it rather than sharing it with the fans that enabled their job to exist back in 1993 & 1994.
I saw the conflict of goals I had with them as a stalemate, so I chose to lose. They won. I lost enthusiasm very quickly even when people were still willing to contribute content. I let them go back to scattering it to earths end. They can sell the remnants to everyone for whatever they can get. I wanted to archive a record of it all and let it live out it's full glory. That interest is now gone.
If you search the web you might be able to find what I amassed with a couple grand and hours upon hours of lost sleep.

Wow. Which creators do you mean? Have you tried contacting Jim Shooter before? Or Classic Media? Do they have the Defiant leftovers or you are saying the artists kept the final products? (Pages and covers). It sounds like you've done alot of extensive work but I don't know the whole back story of this.
Would a fan petition to Classic Media help to let them know there is a fan base & interest for these characters again? I also wondered if the Defiant Comapany worked off of some sort of "Defiant Universe Bible" or guidebook of outlines that mapped out the line past it's first year.

I have not contacted Jim since 2000 and that was on an unrelated matter. My site was created in 2003. Some of the content donated came indirectly from Jim. Most of the creators own the scripts and artwork that they worked on. I have no idea what Classic Media owns. I'm not into petitions. I'm too arrogant to beg for anything. I prefer to talk reason with people. Classic Media is in the business to make money, not talk emotions. I'm sure if they were brought money or a business plan which would make some money that you'd see these characters again. defiant1

Hey, did anyone here ever score the back cover art page to the Dark Dominion binder? I have it, I bought a copy of the Dark Dominion binder at a yard sale of all places. It had a bunch of the cards (don't remember if it is the complete set) and also had the back cover art.

You know, I have 3 Plasm binders and I forgot...I really did...that my good buddy (yes) D actually sent me a Dark Dominion binder with card (Really Cool!). But, I have never had a back page to either. I actually forgot I had the Dark Dominion binder. I would like to have the back page to either of these. I also found when I looked at my binders just a minute ago, I stuck an old promo card for Plasm in the same plastic insert as the Splatterball comic. Its been in there ever since. Its in Mint Condition. It was one of the promo cards that used to be at the Cash Register at the LCS when you check out. I never hesitate to grab this kind of stuff. It always feels like at the time you get them that they are just worthless pieces of junk. But it never fails, when you let 10 - 15 years go by and then realize you have stuff like this, it becomes uniquely cool. That's why I always pick up the promo stuff. Life goes on and one day, it gets cool.

I have about 16 years worth of Previews catalogs (those take up alot of space) thinking I might need them in the future and now I'm so glad I held on to them because they have the "GoodGuys" one pagers and the preview solicits for the Defiant Broadway stuff that never came out. I'm trying to gather my Defiant section in one place from those mags and all the Wizard/Hero/Fan interviews that came out too.
