Well.... It's magazine... and it's a comic. Be sure to check the date! Comedy Capers Vol. 24 #124 (November 1986) Was anybody expecting that? I knew this issue existed. I suspected it might not be Charlton. It is indeed Charlton per indicia. Defiant1

Wow! That is shocking. Would that make it the last Charlton? I never figured any of these things being that new. They all look like they come from the 60s and maybe the 70s but certainly not the 80s. It also seems so UnCharlton like. In some ways I resent them and in some ways I find them cool as hell.

It does not have sequential art. It is mainly single panel gag cartoons with jokes in between. It has a lot of text in it. Still not sure when the publishing ended.

I ended up with a duplicate of #124. I knew that as I buy more of the Charlton gag comics I'll start getting bulk lots that have issues I already own. So far I've been lucky. I'll also have a lot of upgrading to do. The good thing is that I did pick up a #123 at the last show.. Comedy Capers #123 Q
