Dude, Defiant1... You are SERIOUSLY the bomb, man!!! You have really treated me very well as a newcomer to the Defiant universe, moving your posts to the fore-front to make it easy to get the full scope. I REALLY appreciate your kindness and willingness to help me out!! I feel the need to share some of my creativity in return; please check out my band on MySpace: www.myspace.com/adarkhaloYou can hear some streaming tracks on there. Not sure if you dig late-90's american heavy music mixed with orchestral industrial...but if you do, we're for you!!! My band is/was called "A Dark Halo" Thanks again for the notes n' stuff. I can't wait to read everything properly!! Peace, Jonesy P.S. If you have any more of those Defiant DVD-R's please let me know as i'd love to get one!!!!

I created a 2nd release of the DVD that is burnt on a lightscribe disc. I can get you one, but it's something that I probably won't do real soon. Remind me in a couple of weeks if I haven't gotten off my @ss to do it. It's the same video that can be seen on youtube now. www.angelfire.com/comics/defiant/Defiant_AV_Page.htmlI thought the music was pretty neat. Saw the link elsewhere. I'm a big fan of Stabbing Westward (industrial) and Chris Hall's band the Dreaming (less industrial). Otherwise I don't follow much music in that genre. I like Chris Halls vocal range. I recorded his band the Dreaming when they played Atlanta a couple of times. www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0U5gcD59tE&feature=channel_pagewww.youtube.com/watch?v=HvDoeQzy5Zg&feature=channelwww.youtube.com/watch?v=FKiwHGNb7X8&feature=channelFor the most part, music was a big part of my life before... not so much anymore. All the girls I used to date were more interested in famous musicians, so I steer clear of the competition these days. One of my first loves married the road manger for Guns & Roses. Her roommate was dating the manager for Cinderella and had a member of Kansas in love with her. I appreciate talent, but don't buy much anymore. Prefer to avoid angry stuff or screaming, but I relate to Chris Hall's lyrics and tell people that he expresses all that emotion so I don't have to. Defiant1

I can TOTALLY relate to the screaming thing. In the last couple years, i've gotten into music like that less and less. In hindsight, I wished that we would have gone completely clean vocals in "A Dark Halo." Mainly because my intent for our message was to overcome fear and realize how important we all are. My favorite of our songs that really hits that aspect home is "Unbreakable." Plus, it's my only guitar solo on the disc...lol.
I am in school now to become a Music Therapist, and the majority of the learning early on has been to learn Music Theory from the classical era to today. It's been awesome. Through that, i've been also going back and checking out older rock albums that I never took the time to hear. I'm REALLY wanting to buy the new Beatles Box Set, if I can find it...because I never got into them before, and from what i've heard over the years, i've questioned why?
In regard to the Defiant video, I will just check out the You Tube vids; no need to send anything after all.
Thanks again for everything, Defiant1 !!!
