defiant1, if you still have one of the dvds, I'd love to see it. I think that I was in some of teh background shots when they were doing that, but I honestly don't remember!
Think that I was working on fixes for the Home for the Holidays GN over cockrun then....
Heck, it was too long ago to remember exactly. Still it would bring back a lot of memories, so let me know. My email is below:

Steve (Firestarter),
Your DVD shipped today. I paid extra for a 4-6 day delivery rather than a 4-6 week delivery. Sorry for the delay.

Hey all. Got my DVD post haste from our friendly Admin, but came down with the flu and didn't get the chance to watch until a day or two ago.
First, thanks to Defiant1 for sending it. I can see those offices so clearly in my head, but now it's nice to have confirmation on dvd that my memory doesn't cheat. I appreciated your time to convert this.
Second, yes, I'm in there, in the opening music vid, there a guy wearing a black and white patterned shirt with a bandana on his head inking a lower right hand panel... that's me. I believe that I wore something interesting on the idea that the film crew would want to shoot the "artiste", since as I wasn't a penciller or writer, I knew I wasnt' the subject of the promotional video in any real way, and yes it worked. My horrible outfit immortalized forever. My wife, who has long seen my dress sense as a source of teasing gained a great deal of ammo last night.
Third, the view for the balcony of those offices was that spectacular. You can see it in the final shot on the tape, with Jim gesturing to the others at sunset. Tim Perkiins, the colorist over from Blackburn England and I used to go out there at night, only 3 blocks due north of the empire state building and marvel at the buildings. Seeing how densely packed in they are in manhattan, Tim turned to me once and said, "Now Spiderman makes sense. I under stand why you would have the fantasy of climbing wall and swinging from building to building if you grew up here."
cool.

Hi David
I received my 'Inside the Tower' DVD and 'Origin of the Org of Plasm' CD yesterday. It was so good of you to ship them over to the UK for me, and I've now got a complete Dark Dominion # 0 thanks to you.
It was great to see behind the scenes at Defiant and seeing how excited Adam Pollina was about the Charlemagne project. Eventually he would fight the big cosmic enemy - sounds brilliant! The CD was great too - it's almost like War Dancer # 0.
I know it sounds sad, but the more I find out about how Defiant worked, the more it upsets me that it didn't last. It was all good but Dark Dominion and Plasm were fantastic!
Does anyone know what the legal position is with the Defiant range? Who owns the copyright? Could anyone reprint the stuff and write new stories? My head is just full of ideas as to where I could see those characters going!
My girlfriend and I are hoping to go to New York sometime this year and even though she's a vegetarian I'm going to try and find that McDonald's from Dark Dominion # 1!
Stay Defiant!
Steve

Steve I've lost touch with who is dishing out the rights. It's the same people selling the rights to use Magnus and Solar. All of Broadway & DEFIANT rights are owned by the same people who own the old Dell/Gold Key/Western Publishing credits. The only exception is War Dancer who is owned by Alan & Pauline Weiss. Previous communications with Pauline implied they had no immediate desire to bring War Dancer back. Alan had some plot ideas according to Pauline, but War Dancer is so tied to the other DEFIANT characters that it's tough to really use him alone. I'm paraphrasing based on my memory so apologies to Pauline and Alan if I've misrepresented or miscommunicated anything that I was told. Obviously they can change their mind at their own discretion. I just watched the DVD again yesterday. I have to say I got a lot more out of it after I actually read all the Defiant books! There was great hints about where some of the characters were headed after the Schism crossover. It sounds like Chasm was going to become a lot more dangerous of a foe and that Charlemagne was indeed going to become the most powerful character in the Defiant Universe with his ability to duplicate the abilites of any other superbeing he came in contact with. Jim also described Prudence and Caution and actually made it sound somewhat interesting, far different in my opinion than the two books that were released. I wonder why there was no mention of Dogs of War? Thanks again for sharing this with us, Defiant1!

Very nice to see you here Corvette! Thanks for the reply. There is so much stuff buried deep in here that happened well before I got here. I havent read the beginning of this thread, only the last few posts at the end. But even then I can tell it was an interesting disc. I'll have to see what other things are buried deep in this board.
