There is nothing particularly good about this except a Sienkevich cover. I think I got this in a Diamond Retailer Promo Pack. If so it was distributed as a sample comic to retailers. I see nothing special either way. This is also the oldest Checker Comic that I have ever seen. Danger Ranger #1 Defiant1

Another Sienkiewicz cover... GCD doesn't list either of these Checker comics on the web site. Chemical Warfare #2 Defiant1

That's Sienkiewicz! Only reason I know that is he is one of my favorite artists, though neither of these covers makes me want to go out and get them.

I was too lazy to look up the correct spelling, so I'm thinking I grabbed the phonetic spelling from memory of his twitter feed. I'm sure that's why I bought Chemical Warfare. To my shame I have 2 copies. I've updated the previous post. Defiant1

Okay! This is not listed at the CPG or the GCD. At first I was skeptical that I'd actually bought it at cover price. Since the inside cover has some funny anti-vegetarian text suggesting segregation... yeah... I'm sure I bought it. The indicia is transposed with all the content which should be in the small print at the bottom. I'm not motivated to read the whole comic, but I like the inside cover. There is an ad for Danger Ranger, so my theory that Danger Ranger #1 was their first comic appears to be wrong. Maybe this is it? Vegman #1 Defiant1
