Knightt brought this up at vc.com, about the Premium Edition Tin Set of the Plasm cards. I know the production run of these was 5,555, but I'm curious how many of those actually sold at the original price of over $175! I couldn't even imagine any card shops having ordered these unless they received a HUGE discount.
I'm wondering if there was ever a big blowout of these or if there was a warehouse find of these sets or if they are still out there somewhere. I've been looking on eBay and haven't seen one listed since I've been looking, so they don't seem to be as common as you might think an item with a 5,000+ run might be.
Any additional information on these sets would be appreciated.

While I'm asking questions, what was the comic that was included with the tin sets? I believe the special edition tin sets came with a certificate you could redeem for a 16 page comic, while the Premium editions, it looks like the comic actually came with the tin itself and was a numbered edition. I didn't see a scan of the book unless I missed it somehow. Thanks!

Brother J, there were no comics that came with the tin. The tin came with the entire set of foil stamped cards (yep entire set) all on a higher grade card stock (18 pt stock) and the level 2 #4 of 4 foil card on 14 pt stock, an audio comic book (cassette tape) with a four page story synopsis and a bonus card set (very nice set of cards).
The 'four page' synopsis is just a folded piece of card board with art and story on it but I 'guess' it could be considered four pages. There is art all around the tin that is very nice as well. I will try and post a few pics of it if you would like to see them. And the four bonus cards were scanned in and posted somewhere here on the boards, I cant seem to find it but it is there.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with a premium tin set, tape and all. Also what comic did the standard tin set advertise to send away for?

The comic advertised was never produced...
I dont know if anyone on the boards has an extra tin for sale or not but you can find them every once in a while on Ebay, but expect to pay around $50 plus s/h. And I find that a bit pricey.

yeah but what was the comic for..like the DD binder was supposed to have "the origin of chasm" so does it say specifically what the comic was supposed to be? Yes $50 is pricey..but if you were the dude that paid 175$ for it thats a big loss. If anyone has an extra for sale please LMK phishdude_8@hotmail.com

Most of the people selling DEFIANT stuff now paid pennies on the dollar. Defiant1

my local shop where I always get great deals has a case of the Special Edition tins. The store has actually just closed up for a month because they had to move out of their previous location and apparently didn't get a new location until the last minute. I'll have to ask them how much they might want for the case once they open back up.
