As BrotherJ knows, this was one of my favorite indy comics, but it slowed down so much I gave up on it. I picked this up a month or so ago for a buck because it looks like one I was missing. Although the art is pretty good, this falls in the span where he was finishing the art in the computer. I feel that the art suffered because of that. Strangehaven #11 I read it today (first comic I've read in awhile) and I still like it. Defiant1

I used to have a copy of the 2nd printing of #1 and I thought it was really good. So since you got me thinking about this book again, I picked up copies of the first nine issues from Lone Star for $1 each. I stopped with #9 because they were missing #10. However, once they processed my order, they were also out of one of the issues I ordered, so now I'll have to hunt that down...

However, once they processed my order, they were also out of one of the issues I ordered, so now I'll have to hunt that down... I guess what amazes me is how natural the conversation flows. As I read that issue, it was like being in the quaint little town listening to a candid conversation about their bizarre and quirky place. Then it jumps around like a soap opera keeping you pulled into each scenes. The dialogue is quite involved also. It might talk about making tea one minute or the social structure within an African tribe the next. Defiant1

excellent, a title still on my "need to read" list. I know I have the first few issues in my boxes, just have to find the time to read them. I've always heard the book is very much like the TV show Twin Peaks, and the guy on the cover of #10 looks like Killer BOB from Twin Peaks with a beard and sunglasses on.

I don't want to build it up too much. I liked it because it was a day in the life of these people and it had enough going on to make you think and make you wonder. Defiant1
