I've got both of these, plus one with Mother Teresa. I remember the Pope John Paul one was actually going for good money around the time he passed away.

I always miss the time windows to sell that kind of stuff now because I've been too lazy to sell anything. It's something I need to do to trim down what I have.

I always wondered why those books were featured in the cover gallery on the Illustrated Media site. www.illustratedmedia.com/Did Jim Shooter edit/write those?

Not sure, but they were produced for other people and that's the type of product they are selling.... outsourced comics.

I have a couple of these. If a comic has to tell you it's collectible, it's probably not going to be worth anything. Stryfe's Strike File #1 Defiant1

Super-Villain Classics #1 Interesting reprint comic from 1983. My guess is that this is reprinting some Thor back-up features from comics I don't own... or at least I don't think I own them. Thor was one of my least favorite titles. Defiant1

Nice painted comic with and acetate cover. This was part of a wave of comics that Marvel release in an obvious attempt to duplicate the success of the Marvels series. Tales of the Marvels: Inner Demons #1 Defiant1

Hulk vs. Quasimodo #1 This is one comic that I never understood. Why the hell did they make it? It's written by Bill Mantlo and drawn by Sal Buscema. It could have been placed as a regular issue in the series. I'm betting it was created as a filler issue in case they got behind schedule and perhaps the regular Hulk continuity was going a different direction. Either way, it's nothing special... just odd.
