I know it might be strange, but I've never gotten the collecting cards thing.
Comics I got, you get to read (and re-read) a story and look at all the pages of art.
I must have simply missed out on the "card" gene.

Lorca has a headache......flap, flap, flap. Defiant1

Defiant1 I understand the whole sports card thing, it's mainly centered around money. Most people collecting cards back in the day were hoping to get the rookie cards of star players cheaply so they could resell them later at an inflated price. Nowadays it seems like cards are more focused on the chase card thing. A fun way to collect sports cards is to focus on a favorite player. I don't really have a favorite, but my wife's favorite player is catcher Mike Matheny. She only had a few Matheny items before I moved here. Now since I've been buying items for her, I'd be willing to bet she probably has the biggest Matheny collection in the world outside of possibly one of his family members! I guess the non sport card thing is somewhat fun because it is often enjoyable to open up a box of card packs and put together your own set. When the cards are well-collated, it's a lot more fun than when they're not!
