1st time I've actually seen this comic, but man do I sure remember the video arcade game for this that was in 7-11's and game rooms 15 years prior to this comic.
Like controlling video outcomes by unknowingly choosing the next scene selection. Those kind of games were cool for a bit. You would play the whole distance that you knew in order to learn 2 or 3 more moves. And then start all over again on a new game just trying to get back to that same point so you could learn another 2 or 3 moves.
They were the hottest games in the arcade market for like a year and then they totally disappeared.

When a local store closed, they were big into TPB's. I picked up these dirt cheap because I did like Greg Land's art and I knew the regular comics could be picked up in bulk some day. I figured that the more expensive item would be what deterred me from collecting a set. As it stands, my dislike for their product became a bigger deterrent.
