A guy i work with wanted me to stop by his house and check out some comics that his wife acquired somehow. I did so as a favor to him. Upon reviewing the comics, there were right at 200 comics. The date range was from 1967 to maybe the early 2000's or so. Overall, I saw nothing or great value. As always, condition was a problem. There were 2 Spawn comics that are sold with toys. There were multiple creases with color break on the spine. The best stuff in the lot was Ms. Marvel #1 & Nova #1 form the 70's. There was a Nova #12 that has the Spider-man crossover. There was a Western Ghost Rider #1-5 or so. I don't have those, so they interested me. A few middle run issues of Omega the Unknown. There was a significant run of the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider vol. 1, but all higher numbers. There was an Amalgam comic that I thought was interesting. I thought there were duplicates of the same issue at first, but I immediately noticed one copy had a bar code and one didn't. There was a lot of stuff I consider worthless crap such as a dozen issues of Arion. The old Marvel comics were the only thing I would have valued more than a dime. I know a store would try to sell them for more, but I didn't want to make an offer or get his hopes up too high. He says his wife wasn't looking to sell them. Eh! I wasted a lot of money on gas driving 40 miles to see them. Overall a gesture of kindness and a waste of time. It's the first comics find in the rough that I've looked at in awhile. Usually the comics people ask me to look at are clearly dealer overstock.
