Since I'm always looking for something new to collect, I've recently decided to collect Broadway Comics. One thing I found looking on eBay that I didn't see listed on this site were the Broadway/American Entertainment signed edition books. Are these something that were intentionally left off the site or were they unknown before this? The COA has the Broadway logo on them so I thought it was a neat item to pick up. So far I've found two of these, Fatale #5 and Knights on Broadway #1
I was also wondering, Mile High has listed a BROADWAY COMICS BLACK & WHITE PROMO PACK listed on their site. I assume this is several of the B&W promos but were these promo packs put together by Broadway? Which B&W promos are included in this pack. Thanks for any information you can give me.

I assume this is several of the B&W promos but were these promo packs put together by Broadway? Which B&W promos are included in this pack. Thanks for any information you can give me. As far as I'm aware, these are just normal versions of the comic. The COA at best just represents a marketing twist used to sell more of them. COA's can be faked. COA's can be overproduced and put with faked signtures. While I agree nobody would have much of a reason to do it, I don't feel that a full spotlight on these is warranted. As I am made aware of certified signed comics, I can make a note that they are reported to exist. This would allow other collectors to track them down. If you can scan any unique COA's and submit them to me, I can post those as examples of what people need to look for. Most of the signed & certified comics are not floating around my city. I've never seen one and I don't collect signed comics, so the combination of those factors has contributed to their exclusuion. The B&W promo copies were polybagged with 1 to 3 titles per polybag and distributed to retailers approximately 3 months prior to the release of the regular editions. They were released by Broadway to show the retailers that the art was completed and "in the can". They were also released so that retailers and customers could preview the content and know exactly what they'd be getting if they ordered the comics. The B&W preview comics came out at the same month the color versions were solicited. At this time, I have not gathered the information on which titles shipped together in the same bags. The polybags were consistent. The issues polybagged in one given month and sent to one store would have matched what the other stores received that month. I'd estimate that no more than 5,000 each exists on any of the B&W preview copies. I hope that helps. Defiant1

Thanks for the information! The only scan I have so far is a pretty poor one I received from the eBay seller I bought the Knights on Braodway #1 from. Here it is: Once I receive both the books, I'll send you some decent photos that you can use as you see fit.

I bought all the Defiant signed editions that were offered through either Previews or Advance Comics at the time they were 1st offered. Some of them were pricey when they came out, as much as $45, but I had a good job so I forked out the cash for them. I'll compile a list of them along with pics soon, & post them in the Defiant section.---Steve
