If there is anything you want or need to know about Ninja, this is the comic to own. According to a former co-worker at the time, Tucker Georgia had the ONLY Ninjitsu dojo in the entire United States. He trained there. If you met him without digging deeper, you'd think the guy was normal and just an average reasonably intelligent person. If however you carried on a longer conversation, he was just bizarre in every way. He owned a van with an extended height to the roof. He lived out of his van so he could save money. All he did was train, hang out with friends, and save his money from working. He had arrangement with the staff at Stone Mountain Park and they'd let him take showers there for free. He had arrangement with a grocery store to get the damaged laundry detergent free. He'd trade the damaged laundry detergent with a local laundromat and they'd let him wash his clothes for free.
He was never dirty or stunk. He'd use a plastic orange juice jug as a urinal in his van. This is funny because someone broke into his van once and stole the orange juice jug. We were hoping they took a drink from it. He trained with a CNN anchor woman and they dined together periodically. She was a good friend. I'm pretty sure her name was Robin, but I can't remember the details and I never actually saw her. He had toured southeast Asia on foot before coming back to the U.S. He was never hurting for money. He'd read comics off of a spinner rack, but never actually bought any. After I changed jobs, I found out he was making ninja stars and ninja weaponry out of non-metallic materials. Some of the materials are quite expensive, but he'd get scraps from a company's dumpster to fabricate his weapons. He was selling them. I never knew the guy to ever lie. Anything that sounded preposterous was usually validated through direct evidence or assurances by his other friends. When the dojo moved a few miles from Tucker, he followed the dojo and later became a Ninjitsu instructor. I would usually tease him about being a Ninja, but occasionally we'd get into more serious conversations. He was once explaining a move to me once where it was possible to throw someone over your shoulder with your chin and your shoulder if they tried to swing a fist at your face. He said his skills were not to that level, but it could be done. He explained the mechanics of it and I agree it could be done if someone was highly experienced.
Here's the comic(?) scan...
Ninjitsu, Art of the Ninja #1
No actual story. Just a breakdown of everything involved with being a Ninja.
