I think I have most if not all of this series. The interior art is better than the cover. WIIndows #5 Defiant1 At first glance, I think ugh. But as I look at it, I think it's pretty decent. What kills the whole thing for me is that lame gradient purple computerized background. While the color itself works. It just cheapens the whole piece and seems to diminish the actual hand drawn art and the work put into that. Not sure what would have made a good background for this, but I think since space was an issue making a color seems like a decent choice, I think I would have thought it was a lot better being 1 solid color which might have made the images pop more instead of the cheap generic trick of gradation of color. Sorry about the rant. I just think the piece is nice and has a cheap background.

That was a pretty obscure title. The only time I ever saw a copy was the time I special ordered the issue that had the Neil Gaiman content. No one in this area ordered it.

I really liked Door Man, so I gave this title a shot early and made sure I got anything that was already out. Like Wu Wei from ANIMUS, it's an anthology title. This is indeed a crappy cover. It's a B&W comic, so I can imagine that throwing together a color cover that represents story content on the interior (which had never been colored)... might leave someone struggling on how best to make a cheap color cover to get by. I ramble about this. I liked it. I don't remember why. Maybe I'll reread it tomorrow. Door Man #1 Defiant1
