I just stumbled on this on Shooterswork.com:
Several months after launching this site, I received a message from Joe James stating "At Broadway, the writing team was Jim Shooter, Janet Jackson, Myself and Pauline Weiss. We literally wrote every frame of every book together. Jim was of course head writer but we spent a year and a half 9 hours a day, 6 days a week writing the Broadway line. That is no exageration. With the exception of the few titles we adopted individually." He later mentions "I still have a script for Knights on Broadway #4... I had it plotted up to #7 and the culmination of the first story arc was supposed to coincide with our first universe crossover, which was a massive change of all the books."

I saw that Joe James was interested in coming public after my site shut down. I also saw that David Lapham was interested in selling art after my site shut down. Uncanny coincidence if you ask me. I chuckled when I saw both events. I wouldn't say I got all excited. I just chuckled. Q

That makes a lot sense why we would've saw all the characters/concepts meeting each other in the next Fatale plotline. Fatale would've had the knowledge to gather heroes like Solar did in Unity. Of course, if the Techmancers really did know everything they could've done it too (especially since their book was supposed to be the next one released). The villian/villians/menace would've had to be something big. I doubt it would Cor's people, the solicitations promised a satifying to that little conflict, but you never know. I doubt Blackwhite would've been it, but you never know. Brother J's post about Tammy's mom reminding him of Mothergod combined with the Babes on Broadway pin up makes me wonder. If she did go with Blackwhite to his base you'ld think they'ld be messing with sorts of big bang level stuff up there, maybe even something that could make a disturbed woman into an energy being? You never know, it's happened before.

You never know, it's happened before. You know far more than I do. I discovered over the past few days rhat I never had read the solicitations for Broadway. I trusted the crew producing them so fully that I wasn't trying to figure out two months ahead what was going on. I know this... Makeshift seemed unrelated to everything... unless you consider all the artifacts. They might have tied in with Fatale. Q

I trusted the crew producing them so fully that I wasn't trying to figure out two months ahead what was going on. I don't think trust has anything to do with it. I read anything about there was about Broadway and Shooter's other companies. It was always amusing how wrong so many of the Shooter-era Valiant solicitation were. You'ld get the comic and it would be a different story entirely. Defiant and Broadway's tended to be accurate, though sometimes on Broadway the solicitations would end up being for three issues later since the stories tended to run longer than they originally planned. The last several monthes the solicitations on the half books just basically said "Yeah the storyline was supposed to end a couple issues age but trust us it'll be good"

Q I was just paraphrasing the last 4 or 5 solicitations for Star Seed/Knights on Broadway. I don't think anyone who read the books needed any assurances that whatever Broadway put out would be good. Maybe those solicitions were written to reassure retailers (who Previews is made for) or maybe they were just something clever to fill up space

After years of reading them from other companies and being mislead, I began to realize publishers will say anything to get an order. The only thing important to me was a new series or which number was supposed to come out. Q
