I think this is some very poor photography. It is supposed to be a picture of four copies of Armorines Vol. 2 #4 in CGC grade 9.6 and two copies graded CGC 9.4. It is also supposed to depict a Shadowman Vol3 #6 in CGC 9.8 and one in CGC 9.2. The lighting truly sucks. The glare is horrible. Could there be a worse quality picture? Opinions welcome. I do not even trust the authenticity! The CGC census only shows one Armorines #4 in grade 9.6 and that's the highest grade for the book to date. Q

The picture's not the best, but it's clear enough to see what it is. As for the books not being on the CGC census, I think it takes a while before newly slabbed books appear on the census.

This is obviously a hoax. One person could not possibly own those books.

I'd prefer you leave my name off of it. Don't want to create any waves. They are for sale, but I want to sell the lower grades first. I might keep the highest grade of each for a rainy day. My prices are not cheap. defiant1

Well, I did upload the picture to Photobucket before posting it, but I guess since it was such an unusual amount of Armorines V2 #4 in one place, some were able to figure out who owned them pretty quickly. Everyone is very impressed.

There was a post on Greg's board. Apparently your books have shown up in the census now. Slym2none made a smart a ss comment about the Unity Book 1 TPB's that I need for my full set. I asked him if he wanted to buy Three 9.4 Armorines for $500 or maybe a 9.8 & 9.2 Shadowman for $600. Then as a side note I told him that I could probably get a couple of Book 1 TPB's for my Miracle on Broadway #1. Haven't been back to check his response. I told him he was still upset that I won't sell him my unopened string bundle of Valiant Voice #1's defiant1

Is he on VEI's payroll. I've never seen a "fan" spam boards about one topic like he does. He's been ignoring me for months on that board which is perfectly fine. I guess it's been slow so he jumps in with a Valiant comment yesterday for no other reason than to show people I will be an a ss. Years ago in high school, one of the popular stupid guys was offended at something one of my friends said. My friend had a British accent. He was very proper in the way he talked and he was on the debate team. A smart guy. So the stupid guy looks at him and says "You're a smart a ss aren't you!?". My friend replies without skipping a beat.. "Yeah, it's better than being a dumb a ss." -- which the guy was! We laughed so hard. Slym2none reminds me of that memory from high school. Especially when he goes out of his way to insult me. He sounds like a little preschooler telling on his playmates because they got to do something bad that he wanted to do. What about that thread was worthy of directing people to it? I mentioned it because I figured it might have initiated the census discussion. Q

I stopped by the Valiant board. I was trying to see if the thread you mention is in the section available to non-members. Saw nothing definitive.
I did walk away with several impressions from the board.
1) Greg has turned up the hype for the CGC again. He never admits to marketing their service, but that is exactly what he does.
2) Everyone is ignoring that an XO HC print run under 2000 copies is break even at best. More than likely it flat out lost money. Especially considering what advertising costs.
3) Saw that Knightt had a new job. If Slym's post is correct about the title, I actually felt sorry for Chris. The title looks more like "cannon fodder". Hopefully that is not the case.

His comment about it is in the "Everything Else" section, in the thread stickied to the top, "Nobody Sleeps". Look on the last page of that thread.
Also, if you look in the "Professionally Graded Books" section, there's a thread near the top about Acclaim books. A board member was wondering if you might be interested in trading one of the Armorines Vol. 2 #4.

Sometimes that is the only thing I miss about being a member over there. If something breaks out I sometimes feel the urge to want to go and look. Otherwise, I have very little else I miss about the board, but it does appear when I see these names mentioned and some bad blood breaking out, I want to see what is being said. Gregs board really sucks when you're not a member. I thought you would be locked out of the members only section and thats about it, but you're really locked out of about 90% of his board and the 10% that is left is pretty boring. So, I never stop by.

Also, if you look in the "Professionally Graded Books" section, there's a thread near the top about Acclaim books. A board member was wondering if you might be interested in trading one of the Armorines Vol. 2 #4. Both of those are in the "members only" sections. Regardless of how I get rid of the CGC books, I'm not letting go of the higher grade ones until the lower grade ones have moved. I may keep the 9.8 Shadowman and one 9.6 Armorines anyway. If the collector were someone who hasn't dragged my name and integrity through the mud, I'd trade an Armorines V2 #4 in 9.4 for a Unity Book 1. They'd have to ship first and it arrive VF or better. That means it has to be solid packaging with adequate protection. Preferably with stiff cardboard protection in a priority mail box with moisture barrier protection around the book since it's been raining heavily lately. I'm not going to mess with the insurance claim if it arrives less than VF. I'd return it and say "sorry" no deal. Upon receiving the book I'd then ship the CGC book in a box by priority mail with insurance. I'm not into trading by mail, especially for high dollar items. If he lived in Atlanta or flies through Atlanta on business travel, there might be better options available to trade in person. If he was friends with Dawgfan (sp?) and trusted him, he could be a mediator. I figured out that Dawgphan lives maybe 3 miles from me and just a block away from the now closed LCS that I was at once a week for many years. I prefer not to mess with a trade, but I won't rule it out. It's unlikely that most people will even have something I want. Q

So, I never stop by. He actually does me a favor by blocking out 90% of the board. That means I can accuse his members of having no testicles when they insult me. I think Greg's board sucks when you ARE a member. Of course I'm conceited enough to think that he blocks out the board because of me. So many people tried to coax me back into the fold, that he realized it wasn't going to happen. He knows that for me to read the board, I have to join. If I join, he can post that I'm "one of them" and take credit as the voice of Valiant fans. If I don't join, he gets to nurture all the easily swayed members of the hive into one mentality and preach that I'm the enemy because I'm an outsider. I prefer not to have the altercations, but I don't roll over and play dead when I see something I disagree with. Q
