In today's Toronto Star, Halle Berry says something along the lines of Storm doesn't have any sex in the movies, but at home, Storm gets lots of sex. This makes sense in the context that Berry took the costume home with her. Since I've not seen the movie, this was the only X3-related comment I could share.

It's worth the price of admission/Blockbuster rental. From a story POV, it had some holes in it, but as a popcorn movie, it was fun. They left enough threads to work into the oft-talked about spin offs of Wolverine & Magneto, otherwise, a nice finish to the series.. Kelsey Grammar was an interesting choice for the blue fur, but, it worked. ;D

The discrepancies in this one bother me much less than they did in Spiderman with Gwen Stacy missing. I've seen complaints that characters weren't used enough or explained. That's silly. The viewer has been immersed into a world. Not every cause in effect in that world needs to be explained. The real world isn't that simple and writing shouldn't necessarilly be either. What blew me away was that it didn't skimp on the scale and magnitude of what it was presenting. The powers of all the mutants were displayed. A movie of this type demands a special effects budget. We got it. Some say the angel should have done more. I'm under the impression that we might not even be seeing the angel at all if it had not been for seeing a winged horse in Harry Potter. I don't know if the same people did the special effects, but it's becoming a common practice to reuse digital effects with slight modifications & tweaking. I spotted a lot of reused effects in "I, Robot" All in all a very solid movie that didn't let up. I was awed. Defiant1

I just saw X3 Sunday.
There were a lot of comic book plot elements, referances, and homages in there but overall the quality of the movie was just average. Too many characters, occasionally weak writing, occasionally cheezy performances, bad design work, several cheezy special effects and fights. It's a decent flick but I enjoyed the other two more, especially the last one since it was such a strong peice of stoytelling all the way around.
And I can't get this out of my head...
"Do you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, b!tch!"
LOL
Everyone around me and my wife were giggling through out the whole movie but when Jugggernaut said that with that thick Shakespearian accent I finally lost it and started laughing myself. (I know it's off a website and they put in there as an inside joke, but still)
