When I'm talking about "those guys in Florida" in reference to Indy Comics, I'm usually thinking about them. Q

Great selection, but horrible handling, packaging and service. As far as I'm concerned they can go f*u*c*k themselves. (Hopefully I tricked my way past my own censorship there.) Q

Great selection, but horrible handling, packaging and service. As far as I'm concerned they can go f*u*c*k themselves. (Hopefully I tricked my way past my own censorship there.) Q Care to elaborate? On my first order, I ordered 40 odd Continuity,Defiant, & Broadway Comics comics. They were all worthy of a dollar box, but they sold them as high grade for $2-$5. The price was higher than market, but fair considering the size of their inventory and the availability. So here's the breakdown: 1) I'm paying top dollar for books they should be ecstatic to sell. 2) My order was instantly reduced by 1/3rd when they told me they were out of certain comics. I have a problem with retailer who post online that something's in stock when it isn't. 3) I pay by check, and they post a month hold on shipping. a) They do not clarify that the month delay starts when the check clears, not from the day you send the check. 4) When I questioned their practice, they were smart asses as if I should have assumed they were going to sit on my cashed funds for a month. I made it clear that their practice was unacceptable but waited out the needless delay. I've never bounced a check in 40 years. NEVER. I resent being treated like someone who does. I feel that they should check their deposits regularly and ship the order as soon as the payment hits their account. If not, they should explain their policy in more detail on their order page. 5) They exceeded the time delay mentioned on their web page as well as exceeding the time delay they conveyed to me in their rude email. 6) After waiting a needless delay, I held them to their terms and asked them to either send the comics or refund my money. They located the comics and sent them 2 days after their own establish policy dictated they should send it. 7) The package arrived a week later or so. The packaging was inadequate to protect the books. Nothing prevented impact to the spine or the corners if impact were to occur. Each and every comic... all 30 or so arrived with damage knocking it down 2 or three grades depending upon where it was in the stack. So basically I paid top dollar for about 30 comics in a condition that was not even acceptable to me. Their customer service was obnoxious and I will simply never deal with them again. If they cannot interact with customers in a more respectful manner, I have no use for them. I asked them to delete my account after the 1st order. The irony is that my first order was a test order for their service. I had about another $1000 worth of older comics I'd been scoping out on their site. They had some Tales To Astonish Comics I was missing among other stuff. My attitude against them is entirely base on their lack of respect for my time, my money, and my order. So yes, they can go F.U.C.K themselves. I will smile if they ever go out of business. Defiant1
