Posted the "only" color art page completed for a Schism comic. This is from Schism #4 Page 20. The page features Prudence & Caution. The site now has a color art piece of Lorca based on a Neal Adams sketch. Unfortunately, the Lorca piece is too large for a standard size scanner. The site is now in the possesion of two color art pieces (pages 7 and 9) from Good Guys #1.5. Page 9 is already promised to a messageboard member. I will be putting page 7 away with the Defiant Archive's art collection. Look for scans of those to be posted in the next few days before I ship out page 9. Also, look for a color art Prudence & Caution piece in the coming month. The Prudence & Caution piece was a pinup. Defiant1

That's awesome. I was wondering if you got that off Janet. Why would page 20 of the fourth issue be the only one colored though? Any info on that or scripts/art from issues #2-4?

Yes, Janet offered the piece for sale on a few messageboards--including this one. I grabbed what was available. In previous discussions with Janet, I was under the impression that no artwork for Issues #3 and #4 had been completed. For that reason, I expected a page that might be critical to the story--maybe something that was done well in advance--something to be featured in ads. I was not disappoined in what I got, but I do wonder the same thing... because this isn't what I envisioned. It's an excellent piece, just not what I thought it would be. On the Good Guys 1.5 pages, Janet said those were some of the most involved pages she ever did. She didn't elaborate about the Schism piece... but I'll have to admit it's got some cool details of it's own. The scripts to Schism are probably only available as hard copies... or so I would guess. I'm not rushing to acquire them because it would probably take me a year to transcribe them at the rate I'm going. In due time, I may pursue copies. The site has been up a year and I still haven't had time to do a story synopsis for Plasm or War Dancer. I'd like to have the basics in place ~before~ I post ALL he bonus content I've already put the cart in front of the horse. Defiant1

Thanks for the info. Still strange about that page, though.

Thanks for the info. Still strange about that page, though. If I need to email Janet about anything else, I can ask. My understanding is that she's got more important things to deal with right now, so I don't think it's a good time to ask. Defiant1

So how many Schism issues were planned?

So how many Schism issues were planned? I believe that Schism was to be a 4 issue series that was released side by side with the monthly titles.... over a two month span. Defiant1

The colored page was awesome. Looked like the cosmic *%$# was really hitting the fan! I also saw some more pages from issue 1 I didn't catch before with Chasm trashing the Org of Plasm. Great stuff. Thanks for the head up.

Actually I just remember how some of the panels from the last issue of Plasm looked like they were taken from Schism (a technique Shooter used in Unity as well). You could really tell that Lapham had a completely different inker on that last page . It might make sense for various unrelated pages or ones towards the end to be colored if those were the ones that might be used in the crossover issues.

It was also quite obvious that Weiss had drawn some Wardancer/Charlemagne crossover scenes for both the Wardancer title and the Charlemagne title. It was so obvious that I added Weiss' name to the credits for one Charlemagne issue. Defiant1
