I never collected CSN's, but I never threw them away either. This one made me think of BrotherJ... Q

I hardly have any Peter Bagge stuff, but it's something I wouldn't mind having at some point. I've seen issues of Sweatshop in back issue bins, but I always wondered how "underground" it could be since it was published by DC. Next time I find it in a cheap bin, I'm going to pick them up.

Ha Ha! Didn't he do "Hate!". I have either a #1 or #2 and a #29 if I recall correctly.

Yep, Hate is the main title he is known for. I had a few later issues at some point in my collecting, but I doubt if I still have them. I'd like to pick up a first print of #1, and they are still pretty cheap. It was never hugely popular, but it struck me as probably being one of the more memorable independent books that came out around that time.
I do have a nice run of Eightball, have been waiting to read them when I can put together a complete run. Daniel Clowes is the creator on that one, I think of him and Bagge as in the same group of later, kind of underground creators.

I'm more of an Optic Nerve fan. I think Tomine's work is amazing. There is almost a collegiate genre if you Look at things like Hepcats and Optic Nerve. I am interested at all aspects of collecting, but I don't have a strong yearning towards underground comics. The stuff i do like is usually off the beaten path. I have a Dori Seda comic I like. I was buying any issues of Wonder Warthog I saw, I would probably buy any Rick Veitch underground comic I saw. Defiant1
