The letter V and W are now populated with issue information. By the way, this is just phase one of getting data entered. As with all checklists, there is an error purging phase where I evaluate multiple sources and verify the accuracy of the info posted. I also dig a little deeper into promo comics and information on those. Charlton had some promotional versions of some of their comics.

All dates and titles populated for "A" to "Z"
Will be adding issue numbers for "C" through "U" next.
The charlton checklist can be accessed from the drop down menu above the board now. It will be moved once it nears completion.
Scans will be added by whatever source possible over time. I will not be buying these just to scan them as i've done in the past.

I can tell when this is done, I will be printing it out, circling the ones I have and carrying it with me whenever I go comic shopping. Its going to be the best list on the web! I love it! Cant wait until its done. I picked up about 7 nice books yesterday and I was thinking of posting some more scans. Ive got a busy day today, but maybe tonight I will post some. But dont hold me to it. If you ever get this list done, I would love to see a cover gallery. I know thats asking a ton. But, that will put this list over the top! Great work Q!

As I'm compiling this list, I have very mixed emotions. Titles like "Public Defender in Action" amaze me. It must have been printed because Perry Mason was such a popular show. Charlton seemed to milk off of other concepts moreso than creating memorable ones of their own. It's also amazing to me that they had so many romance comics and war comics. It was like someone drew a line and said "Guys, you buy war comics, we've made romance comics for the girls". I also thought it might be neat to go over the list and agree upon key books. or books that a collector might want to buy first. Q |

My checklist had a serious flaw in it. #61 was missing from every series that should have a #61. The error has been corrected. I've also discovered a comic sized humor magazine titled "Good Humor"
Issues #'s 5, 6, 7, 9, 61-63, 65, 83, & 104 are all mentioned online.
The rest of the listing is assumed.

As you may have gathered, I'm adding scans regularly. I have possibly hundreds to crop and resize. I'm doing so from the middle outward. I'm bumping the date and the version each time I add or change something.

Added some Adult humor comics for the various titles. Need a cutoff for "150 New Cartoons". Last issue showing evidence of that title is #73. By #77 it was titled "175 New Cartoon"
Doug Sulipa lists Comedy Capers Magazine #124 with a November 1986 cover date. Not a comic, but possibly a real publication.
I'm concerned that the later adult titles may have transferred to Magazine Management Co. and not been publshed by Charlton. Not sure though.

It may list non-Charlton items by mistake. Since virtually no info is available online, it's hard to know what is valid and what isn't. Charlton also had some magazines published which aren't listed. Removed the Modern Comics reprint of Creepy Things #5 from the Charlton Comics checklist. I see no confirmed evidence that it exists. Online speculation is that it doesn't exist. (Version 3.00)
Relisted "Fawcett's Funny Animals" as "Funny Animals". Interestingly enough, This series continued with "Hoppy, the Marvel Bunny" and removed the lightning bolt from his chest and made him a magic bunny. (Version 3.01)

Added "Summer Fun" #54. It is the only issue from what I can tell. Somehow the title got overlooked when I created the site . I found the comic on ebay, so I added it.
