I took a big gamble today and ordered an item that matched the description of this: The item I bought had no picture and it didn't say the condition. I'm hoping the the fact it wasn't cheap and didn't have a lot of hype might mean it's in decent shape. Q

Forgot to say, this was a mail-away item. There appears to be evidence that two versions exist, but I only added one to the list yesterday until I get a confirmation of a second printing. I'll know more when i get the item I bought.

Im glad you posted this. I have been meaning to make a post about this very book (honest) because I have seen it advertised in a few Charlton comics and I wanted to know if it existed for 1 and if anyone had ever seen it? And, does it have any real value? I find Charlton doing something like this to be pretty awesome.

It exists. Maybe even two versions. I'd say buy a copy as soon as possible. I haven't submitted it to a price guide yet, but once I know I have a copy in Fine or better, I'm going to publicize it. Mile High doesn't list it. The copy of Overstreet I'm using right now doesn't list it. This is a prime example of an oddball comic that collectors will be curious about. This to me is potentially another "Miracle on Broadway". I may change my mind after I see it, but for now that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ive always, even before I was a Charlton collector, wanted a copy of this book. Give us the run down when you get this in.

Okay! It was a big gamble, but I like it. The scan I got offline was for the 1973 version. I ended up buying the revised 1976 version. It's got some spine creases. I'd say it's a Fine or VG/Fine. I didn't expect any better, but I was hoping. The front cover is the proportions of a digest-sized comics, but I'd guess it's thinner than a normal comics. Here is the front and back cover. Front Back It's mostly text, but it's a must have if you want to see their template for creating Charlton comics. It even has the comics code published inside. Q Defiant

I want one...more details please (or photos of the inside). I have always wanted to see one of these. I never have.

I want one...more details please (or photos of the inside). I have always wanted to see one of these. I never have. This is low enough grade that I don't mind scanning some interiors. I worked a 15 hour day yesterday and then spent an hour or so with the girl of my dreams. I'm head over heels in love, so I'm not really interested in much else when I have an opportunity to see her. Afterwards though I got home and this was waiting for me. I didn't have enough energy to do more than I did. I got about 2.5 hours of sleep last night. I'll try to get some interior images up today. It was cool. I still wish I had one. Maybe one day I will track one down. At least now I know what to expect.
