Folks, I have a lot of these types of Charlton sex jokes comics also. I also have some Marvel/-Curtis ones. Those are called "Magazine Management" and are at the 1970's Marvel address in N.Y.C.

Folks, I have a lot of these types of Charlton sex jokes comics also. I also have some Marvel/-Curtis ones. Those are called "Magazine Management" and are at the 1970's Marvel address in N.Y.C. I have a few Marvel magazines, but I'm going for complete sets of the Charlton ones currently. I knew the others were Marvel when I saw Carol Kalish's (sp?) name in the indicia. I think these are all pretty tough to find. Very few comic shops have these. When I get a chance I'm going to look and see if any of Charlton issues that I own show the circulation numbers in them. defiant1

Picked up this today for $5. It's high grade, but the printing quality is poor like always. Beetle Bailey #1 (Promotional, Cerebral Palsy Reprint, 1970) I already had a scan, so I upgraded it. Defiant1

I haven't abandoned buying the Charlton adult humor comics I just slowed down when eBay quit supporting money orders. Here is one I bought last year and never scanned. It was low grade, but I knew I could easily touch up the scan for my checklist because of where it was damaged. This is lower grade than I want, but I wanted the scan and it was cheap so I bought it anyway. Here is the comic I bought: 150 New Cartoons (Volume 5) #21 Here is a full sized version of the touched up image that will appear on my checklist at some point: 150 New Cartoons (Volume 5) #21 Defiant1

Was skimming through your site and naturally stopped by the Charlton stuff when this caught my attention. Editor Robin Snyder oversaw the sale of some properties to their creators, though the bulk of the rights was purchased by Canadian entrepreneur Roger Broughton. He would produce several reprint titles under the company name of ACG (having also purchased the rights to the old American Comics Group properties), and announced plans to restart Charlton Comics. This had yet to occur as of the mid-2000s, beyond a few reprints.Any idea what these few reprints might be? I always thought the last Charlton came out in 1986 and there has been nothing since. So I'm curious what they are referring to.

I've located a handful of 1930's-1950's non-Charlton Adult Humor magazines in my vault. The ones from the 50's are from a publisher out of St. Louis, I'll have to double check to see what name they go by. I believe a lot of the art is by some of the same guys who did work for Charlton's adult humor. Would you be interested in seeing any of the covers, or are you just interested in the Charltons?

I'm only buying Charlton, because I like them better for some reason. I've turned up at least 4 or 5 Marvel adult humor magazine titles and to me they aren't as funny or risque. I bought a Marvel magazine by mistakes today. I might make an offer if I saw what you had. For me it's a visual thing. I'd have to see them to know if it's something I'd want to see more of.

BTW, Cartoon Carnival #112 above may be the last issue. Also, apparently Photobucket finds the cover objectionable, as they blocked it.

I thought they might block some of these. They show a lot of skin. Especially #112. Figured I'd give it a try.

Kinda weird. I pulled up the image with no issues at home in a different browser that I rarely use... until I logged in to photobucket. I'll see if yfrog will host the scan.
